At this point I want the Rockets to face off against the "hardest teams" in the playoffs. Too many talking head writing them off like they are the 14-15 Atlanta Hawks.

That way the Rockets beating GSW or Minn or taking them to game 7, and the franchise using that series to learn about the young guns feels like the best outcome.

 

I'm not that scared of Minn.

I am deathly afraid of GSW. They could beat us in 5 even if we have home court. A five game out in the first round by GSW would get the fanbase (and board) riled up about changes and might expedite players being traded perhaps. I don't see how getting whipped by them helps our team and I haven't seen anything that makes me think we could even take them to seven games (unless they have a major injury).

 

For one thing, I just don't think this team would get whipped in 5 games by a GSW or Lakers especially in round 1. OKC would be the only team I would think that is highly likely. I think they are a 6 game out no matter what given how many defensive options they have. I also think the first home playoff games in 4-5 years will pump them up in a way that will help for Game 1/2.

I also think this Rocket's FO has shown they do not care about the fanbase, media, or Clutchfans going Defcon 1. They didn't rush it when Harden wanted to be traded. They didn't when everyone wanted Silas fired. They didn't they waited on the coaching hiring process to get Udoka. They didn't with KPJ until they had to. They didn't at any of the recent trade deadlines despite most fans and Rockets media wanting some kind of changes.

 

Lakers and Nuggets keep pace... gonna have to keep winning if we want #2

 

The last thing I want to see is the refs hand GS the series like they did with the KD warriors. If it is called fairly, great. Just let us have a fair shot.

Clippers currently #6 has easier path i don't think they will drop to play in.

 

Crazy to think 9 games left and they are 2nd in the West. Things can change when all said and done but pretty impressive this team reach this high up in the standings this year. Hopefully they build on this going forward and we can continue to make progress and hopefully become contenders year in and out (like Astros run from 17-24 and Harden years)

 

No disrespect BUT if Ime can find time for Tari, he can find time for Cam. SMH

the Rockets have won 2 games since this post and tonight Craig closed the game saying the magic number is down to 4

The dumbest thing right now is that the Rockets could very well be matched up with the Warriors in their first round match up. If that happens I see us losing 4-1

GSW and thier fans actively want to play us for matchups. If they intentionally lose games or other steps, it's a possibility. Sometimes you have to stop over-respecting opponents, prepare, train, and beat the bully's a**

They bleed just like anyone else and can and have lost playoff series like other teams.

Believe you're going to win every time. Play with a killer instinct, grow, learn, and advance as far as you can.
