Damn, Jalen’s finally starting to put it all together, and some people can’t wait to trade him even before our first playoff game with this core, lol.

Isn’t it more rewarding to go with our homegrown prospects and see how good they can become, over some slight upgrades that are much older?

we’re about to win 50 games with a bunch of 23 and under guys. We may not have a traditional superstar, but we could possibly be building on something truly great with this core. I’d rather not trade any of our prospects, at least for the next few years.

Did he improve, of course.......but boy do those hardcore guys make it sound like Jalen Green is the apple of their eye and responsible for everything.

And the media is still mostly on Alpe's side.

ATW is not gone that long.

If we question Alperen as the Number One option, we have the right to question Green as the Numero Uno and Numero Dos question 24/7 and twice on weekends.

Alpi is rewarded for his consistent play of his first 3 years in the league with a all-star nod.

I think out of everyone on the roster Jalen Green gets disproportionately the least amount of credit. He is still ranked two spots lower than Devin Vassell in the Ringer top 100.... A dude who averages less on the same efficiency but on a tanking team instead of the two seed. Vassell doesn't even match the very basic analytics test like BPM where Green is significantly higher. So there is no reason to have these type of national perceptions outside of biased discourse that has tainted the water with Green discourse.

So ya I think people like you and many other extreme haters have ruined discourse of Jalen Green to the media where people think Rocket fans hate him. And that trickles to national coverage

Maybe... Just hear me out ...

As a Rocket fan you should be upset about the Ringer top 100 having Green ranked below so many players less deserving. You should waste time in neutral platforms on reddit and Twitter saying how Green is underrated and yet you are doing the complete opposite. But I think your hatred of Green overcomes your Rocket fandom at the moment.

Jalen Green entered for Fred at the 7:40 mark w/the #Rockets up 94-90

    Went 3-4 (1-2 on 3s), 1-1 on FTs, w/4 asts, 2 rebounds, a +7, & no TOs to key a 27-20 finish

Scored or assisted on 16 of the final 27 points. (Fred didn't re-enter)

    Love Ime trusting him

I'm proud of Ime for benching Fred. I think this is the first time he's ever done it?

Didn't love his surface level scoring efficiency but sounds like he came through in the clutch and I love these new assist totals we're seeing from him.

Tired of harping on it, but I do want people to note these so that selective memory doesn't show up in the summer: when we play 2 non-shooters, it turns Jalen into a jumpshooter. He's great at catch and shoot, but on all other jumpers he can't build an efficient game unless he's an exceptional jumpshooter (which he's far from being). We're basically asking him to be Kevin Durant or CP3 level efficiency on his jumpers if the outcome you're expecting is a Jalen Green with very good overall efficiency in these games. There are only 10 or so players in the NBA who can live off this type of shot diet and come out with a 58+ TS%. None of those people are as fast or athletic as Green.

Thank god his off ball skills have improved so much (improved defense, improved passing, improved catch and shoot) but this is not a good problem heading into the playoffs.

I've said it before, but Jalen's (1) improved 3 pt shot; and (2) increased assist rate as significantly raised his floor, and his floor is what has always concerned me.

But remember Jalen started at 19 while Hakeem came in at 22. Regardless still a great accomplishment

That is why Keem will get Houston Cougars and Phi Slamma Jama's success/honors (Playing style and dunk revolution) attached to him.....

Jalen never played College.... he started earlier in the league while Olajuwon earned College honors.

Something for both players. This is important because I think Naismith Hall of Fame recognizes College Careers.

I think Jalen has improved some, but his overall efficiency is still just meh, it's ok to disagree - you guys can be satisfied with mediocrity if you like.
