Dude is increased his price tag. Hes should almost 50-40-80 off the bench and averaging more points, rebound, assists , and stocks off the bench in lesser minutes. His ts% is 10 percentage pointers of the bench. From 54 ts% to 65%.
This is why had a huge issue with Ime not paying him in the nuggets games that much. He’s a vital part of our success at the moment. I still think he’s a better compliment to Sengun in the starting lineup than Amen.

Indeed Jabari has put together a pretty good stack of games the past couple of weeks. After he returned from the broken hand last month, the primary goal was getting him tuned up for the playoffs. I'd say he's ahead of schedule.

I'm glad somebody mentioned this because he does look really good as a 6th man. He could be incredibly valuable in the role if he embraces it.

No I don't like Bari as a sixth man at all. Our team has significant deficiencies in shooting and starting Tari or Amen makes the problem worse. I think once Jabari has warmed up enough he should be put back into the starting lineup atleast until Tari has a more consistent shot.

Jabari is currently top ten in defensive win shares and we saw last night that Ime keeps him in the game more minutes than Tari anyways. When Tari missed those wide open threes we lost all our momentum on offense. Jabari came in and hit two to seal the game/suffocate the hawks.

Exactly, players are more sensitive than fans when it comes to being benched or being demoted......

However it could yield incredible results, let's view it from another angle, the 6th man role is pretty important and can turn the tide in a game!

I’ll say this…I didn’t think Bari playing minutes at the 3 would work, but when we go to the double big lineup Bari does a great job defending and shooting over opposing SF’s. He seems more confident coming off the bench as well. But the problem, as others have pointed out, is that we need his shooting in the starting lineup. We can’t move him to the 3 because Brooks is actually our best shooter this yr. To me it’s a roster configuration issue. But if Bari, Dillon, Jalen and Fred are shooting well, that’s probably our best starting lineup with Sengun. Obviously I’m not saying Amen isn’t our franchise guy and clearly he should be playing as much as he can, but I don’t like Amen/Sengun as our 4/5. I DO like Amen/Bari (like we saw at the end of last season when Sengun was out) or Bari /Sengun. Again I see it as a roster configuration issue.

If Sengun is getting exploited in the playoffs which I suspect will happen then slotting Bari as the 5 and Amen at the 4 will give us a super athletic young lineup. We might have to rely more on Jalen during the playoffs because I fear Sengun will have a lot of defenses focusing on him and forcing him into tough offensive outings.

Everybody in this team misses wide open three’s outside of Dillon. If we were an average 3 pt shooting team, we’d probably have the second seed clinched by now

Don’t read too much into Jabari and Tari sliding in and out of the starting lineup.

This is all about setting up for the extension negotiation this summer. Showing both players they are valued, but neither’s agent can claim that they are locked in starters here.

The FO is continuing to play the long game, they are not optimizing for wins this season.

I find it funny that Jabari has excelled off the bench while Tari has gotten better as a starter (except for 3-point shooting) despite so many people saying the opposite.

He’s going to request a trade if he gets delegated to 6th man.

You are correct about this. This is all resolved by moving FVV and Dillon to the bench next year. If the Rockets go into next year with FVV and Dillon starting they are throwing away the year and both Amen and Jabari will both have reason to revolt. It’s a shame that it didn’t happen this year, but the West came back to us, so the balance between winning and development got skewed. That being said, I love the progression that Amen, Jalen, and Jabari had in their games. I think Sengun and FVV regressed offensively and Dillon had the best year of his career. This is a giant off-season for the Rockets, hope they don’t blow it by signing or trading for mediocre vets.

He's our starting 4...quite possibly for the next decade.

Tari will be the starting 4 for a long time as soon as Ime figures out how to start Amen as a guard.

Since his return, the team is 3-3 with him starting and 10-2 with him coming off the bench. It doesn’t have to be that way next year, but I think they’ve found a pretty successful rotation with him off the bench and would go with that for the remainder of the year and into the playoffs. He seems pretty comfortable in the role, so let’s keep it going.

Bari has been great off the bench, but I'm not convinced that's his best role. Bari at the 4 with Amen at guard and Tari as our 6th man just makes a lot of sense to me. However, I'm not sure it matters -- I would extend Bari and Tari this offseason and figure it out later.
