I like this visit. I don't know the kid at all, but I want a thorough understanding of what is available in the gaps of our trade picks. Right now thats between 89 and 166.
This is a guy who could really outplay his darft position with a year in the S&C program of a pro team. So toolsy...
I know you think you're pro ready because you played at LSU, but it's still not the NFL and little things make a difference.
My most recent and maybe my favorite mock draft. Made one trade with Baltimore using 2026 picks to get Baltimore's 2nd, 5th and 6th this year. Feel like I hit most of the needs and secured good players who would help soon. The athletic ability of Charles Grant is really impressive. He has more talent than other lineman in the draft. Why is a OT with that much talent not playing at a SEC or Big 10 school? William & Mary. I watched a couple of his Draft interviews. I've interviewed a lot of people. This is a guy that does not love football. I bet before the draft process he could not name 10 NFL teams. He seems to be growing up very slowly, like he's an 18 year old mentally in a 22 year old body. These type of prospects rarely work out.
You've got a couple I try to get in Donte Thornton and Donovan Smith. I also like Bech and Phillips if they're still available. Bech is sometimes gone before 79 and sometime still there at 89. Phillips was there anout half the time when we still had 127, but has occasionally been there at 166.
