If I’m not mistaken, that "Free Agent Money" also goes toward signing draft picks.

Correct, I believe the league mandates that GM's hold back something like 6-8 mil to sign draft picks.

They already have 9mil just hanging out, not available until after June 1st. So that takes care of most of the draft picks. So any of these moves to free up more space have to be to go towards someone right? Or are we already in the red and need some of that 9mil already?

They usually like money for some moves at the cut deadline to pick up players other teams are trying to sneak through to their practice squad. While I expect fewer with the depth we now have, you never know who gets caught with too many to keep. Not to mention UDFAs.

They aren't really unexpected unless you're a Pollyanna.

He stole money from the Texans last year, he was pathetic. I hope and pray a new OC who is good with TE`s fixes him but TBH I don't have faith that he has the swarm mentality. I think we see more of B Jordan this year

If there is a TE with the Swam mentality on Texans, I think its this guy...

Hard-nosed, blue-collar, farm-boy raised--I have hope that Year 2 he'll break out and with his prior time with CJ maybe he can be a safety valve. I'd love to get one of the Top 3 TEs and use them and Cade in the offense. We'll see what happens, but I'm ready to trade Dalton for what we can get.

I simply wish to suggest that not all separation is created equally. Some happens quickly and some doesn't. If the ball is forced out quickly, those receiver's production will be most adversely affected. Could this perhaps explain some of the reduction of separation? Would even half a second more make them more productive?

Perhaps a poorly worded commentary on the inevitability of injuries in football. It's one reason to prioritize depth along with rotating players to keep their legs fresh. Sometimes I'm the only one that takes the shortcut to brevity. The Pollyanna reference was for those who think you can reasonably have no expectation of injuries in a violent game.
