    Hurt us in the Playoffs?

Lets face it, we only have one player who can get his own shot and that's Jalen. But like Ime said last night, we can not afford to play him 22 mins a half in games now and expect for him to be effective moving forward.

The only other player who can CONSISTENTLY get his own shot is Cam! Should Ime consider giving Cam another chance?

Not really. I don't think he's magically going to crack the rotation come playoff time barring injuries. He's clearly not executing what the coaches are asking of him, and he'll be benched until that happens. It happens to young players on contending teams all the time. I'm hopeful for Cam in the future, but it clearly won't be his year this year. It's time to let that go.

The Cam fixation by some on this board is odd to me.

When has he given even the slightest indication that he is a winning player at this juncture?

Ime should let Cam do his thing and the rest of the team should make up for Cam’s shortcomings. I just want the team to have fresher legs come playoff time. We already play playoff style basketball. I don’t want our main guys to be cooked physically because of heavy minutes. How we got the deepest team but we only play 3 guys off the bench?

Unfortunately for many posters here, the best players are the ones they don't have to watch. This is why Jalen gets so much hate. We've all watched hi get thrown into a **** situation with poor coaching and develop so many bad habits. We watch his inconsistency night in and night out, and for doomers, those flashes of brilliance and hot streaks don't hit quite as hard as his low points, so they have this warped perspective of him.

Meanwhile Cam or some player on a different team only have their highlights to latch onto.

It's like when people say "It's such a Rockets thing" to drop games to teams we should smash, Ime needs to have them ready to play, yadda yadda. Then you see Nuggets/Lakers/Warriors drop games to bad teams, but we didn't watch those games, so it's easy to not remember those and hyperfixate on the Rockets negative moments.

Rockets haven’t been in the playoffs for so long, us fans aren’t used to the amount of time the Top 6 teams have to rest, due to the play-in games.

We will have 6 to 7 nights of rest between last game and first playoff game. And 8 to 9 should we be able to rest the last game. That’s like an All Star Game break.

I watch every game and at there is a point in every game where I ask: "Where is Cam?"

We need to understand why he's not playing and getting experience. He's too explosive offensively. He should be treated as a microwave player. If he comes in playing well, then keep playing him.

He's just so talented and I feel like the organization should be a little more open on why he isn't playing.

Amen was also out last night. Did his minutes go to Cam?

There is something up here between Cam and Ime ... and no one is talking.

I have a gut feeling that Cam's banishment has more to do with a lack of verbal self control than his playing ability.

Udoka strikes me as someone who will get petty when he thinks his authority is being questioned and Cam strikes me as someone who will definitely question his authority because of his lack of playing time. Having said that, you can't tell me that in certain situations instant offense isn't a Godsend! Not saying he deserves a rotation spot, but to completely banish him to Siberia is asinine in my opinion! I digress....

    Go Rockets!!!

Cam seems to have checked out mentally. The last time he played he looked broken and dejected. It doesn’t matter if the Rockets are winning, he wants to do Cam stuff, regardless that his style leads to losses and disorientation plays.

It’s such a shame since he has some of the most unbelievable talents on the team. He has the talent to be a top 3 pick, but he has the attitude of a street baller that is happiest scoring vs. winning.

I’m guilty of being as optimistic a Rockets fan as can be, but something tells me Cam has burned his olive branch with Ime.

You were around for D-Mo right? Cam's one interview short of telling us about going into the woods with wolves or something.

    Yes, it will.

We are going to get run in the playoffs, other teams will all play hard like we do and they are better skilled at shooting the ball.

Ime's style won't work in the playoffs, we need some highly skilled offensive players - to compete.....we won't be able to keep up.

Ime is not thinking longer term, and Stone should force him to, this will hurt our growth.

Even if all this is true, I don’t think whether or not we play Cam will be the deciding factor.

Yes, that is fair....we don't know if it would or wouldn't...he would probably be up and down - but the pressure he puts on the rim and the other team's defense would help.

We need better offensive players, outside of Cam and Reed we know what we have, and we have decent to good players on offense but not a single difference maker there.

Never bet on mentally weak people - even if you can relate. The ones who are not open to feedback need a major crash to test some ****. You are the crash test dummy. It's not malicious, they don't know they're doing it. Leave them peacefully and wish them well. They are suffering from something much bigger than what they show you.

Cam isnt good enough so no.

Kid has talent hes just not a winning player at all. At this point hes a losing player that does what HE wants to do out there instead of buying in to the team dynamic.

He has been given many oppurtunities this year and its obvious from being pushed further and further down the rotation that he is not doing what is asked of him.
