I’m even later! Finished watching from dvr, definitely worth it versus going the you tube highlights route. Go Rockets! LFG!!
Damn Miami has lost 9 in a row. For some reason we always struggle in Miami. They are going to play really desperate too. Next game will be tough.
I don’t care they lost 20 in a row, that is a well coached team that can put anyone under on a given night.
Jalen played very well. His game awareness continues to improve. He made a difficult pass to Eason for the successful layup. Last year, he would have tried to dribble past his defender, leading to a possible collision. He will face difficulties in going around defenders in the playoffs around the basket though. Jalen needs to get stronger in the off season and continue to improve his handle. Added strength will help his jump shot, rather than hindering it.
Great win! Good thing we made our free throws tonight, it helped us secure the W late in the 4th. For an average basketball viewer it probably seemed pretty usual - the leading team being sent to the line in order to shorten their possessions, though they are making their points from the line to secure the win. For us, Rockets fans in the 24/25 season, it’s a dreadful moment where we wish our guys do make both free throws and not splitting them. Luckily, tonight we dressed up as a normal basketball team lol.
Anyone remember last season when a Magic reporter mocked the Rockets rebuild compared to the Magic? He was talking down on the Rockets getting vets like Fred and Dillon and propping up the Magics moves and saying they were ahead of schedule compared to us. I really wish I could remember his name or twitter handle about now.
For the folks that constantly (and wrongfully) complain about Udoka not making in-game adjustments, please re-watch the 3rd quarters of the last two games. Thanks.
I agree. This Rockets roster is basically Jesus Christ. Jalen needs to let his hair flow and grow out the beard so he can be the Jesus mascot also
I think with what we experienced with Jalen, as a Rocket fan we can give a guy like Scoot some slack and see if he develops more. He was thrown into the fire as a 19 year old pg. That's like one of the hardest things to do in the NBA.
Scoot has taken a solid step forward this season on his decisionmaking and scoring efficiency. Scoring fewer points, but turning the ball over less and converting on shot attempts at a much better clip. He hasn't been as good as I expected, and I was wrong to have him one spot above Amen on my draft board. But I still think he will be a good starter and he even still has a shot at becoming an all-star caliber player. He just might end up being more of a Kyle Lowry than a D-Rose or CP3 or whatever the comps were.
Good postgame presser by coach Mosley. They were clearly prepared for Steven Adams this time and actually had more offensive rebounds than the Rockets. Yes, it was about "hitting shots" in the 2nd half, but the Magic are a terrible outside shooting team. It's like trying to win a race with a flat tire. You can focus all you want on the process, but they need players that can shoot. Also, their "process" on offense in both games against the Rockets didn't impress me at all. However, on defense, I think their team defense is about as good as it can be with those players. I would hate to be an Orlando Magic fan. They are joyless to watch.
