ClutchFans Game Thread: Hawks @ Rockets 3/25/2025

This game, and the 2 games we’ll have against the Jazz, are the most mustiest MUST-win games of our season. The other 7 games we’ll face will not be easy, so we just can’t lose to the Hawks, no matter what. Let’s just not leave so many points on the free throw line this time, alright?

We have 3 games we will be favored in, or heavily favored - this is one of them.

We need 4 for 50 - and we have a brutal closing schedule.

The Hawks are playing good basketball right now...I think we'll need some Aaron Holiday action tonight to run around with Trae during some points in the game.

 

Looking at the west standing, #2-9 lost their previous game.

Excited about this game tonight! I am really excited to see us get tuned up and roll into the playoffs.

 

Jabari needs to be back in the starting lineup going forward. I didn't like Ime experimenting with the lineup at all last game against the nuggets. Tari and Amen have not proven they can hit threes at a high enough clip to create space for Sengun and Jalen.

Ime needs to start Jabari at 4 and Sengun at 5. If Alpi comes out slow or isn't interested then we slot Jabari to the 5 and bring in Amen or Tari at the 3/4 spot.

 

We have to score more than them.

 

It all depends on how to contain Trae Young pick &roll action. Bench Sengun if necessary.

 

I sort of agree. Amen was negated last game. If we’re not getting stops with Amen then he’s naturalized because we can’t get out and run. Zero fast break points against the nugget and Amen starting was a deadly foreshadowing of how that game was going to go. If we’re going to start amen the. We have to be assertive ondefense. And offense because he’s a not a perimter threat. I think Tari or Jabari starting gives us more balance. The ceiling for our team is much higher with Amen starting but the floor is also much lower with with him starting. It’s the big risk, big reward concept. But what’s happening now is what’s going to happen in the playoffs . The pace will slow and the game will grind more and I don’t think that’s a good thing for the starting line with Amen. Not at the moment because Amen can’t impose his will. Amens biggest strength are his physical attributes which is his athleticism. He can’t beat individuals off the dribble one on one and he’s not a perimter shooter. So if the game is slowing up and we’re doing this slow pace walking up the ball tempo, then that’s not a benefit for Amen. Jabari is the better halfcourt offense option deceive he can exploited matchups inthe halfcourt set. Amen can’t
