Go read the article, and you’ll realize that the reporter initially thought this was some kind of disinformation campaign, so he chose not to convey any of it to the public. Once he realized what it was (after the attacks had occurred), he exited the chatroom and wrote the article while choosing not to convey the details of the mission or the name of a non-public figure.

This is a responsible and ethical reporter who doesn’t deserve the attacks you or anyone else are leveling at him while defending the indefensible. The need to do this is a sickness.
