In the end that is all that really matters. This is the type of game in years past we probably lose in the end. Get a big lead, coast, and give it up. Thank God defense finally showed up last 10 seconds of the game to preserve the win.

Lot of time off until our next game on Friday. CKS will have plenty of time to work on adjustments and getting ready for our next game against Purdue. Top of the list. Work on dealing with the press. Got to be a better way than hovering around the midcourt line. Don't understand that strategy. You are just asking to be trapped when you do that.

Zags started to press and we made some dumb mistakes. Milos and Sharp both missed daggers. Sharp turned it over instead of calling a timeout. But they built an insurmountable cushion to begin with. Credit to the Zags. Their center may have been the most problematic player UH has faced this season.

Lead a "who's house" chant for me in Indy!

The 1-3-1 trap took us out of our offense. They did to us what we do to our opponents. It forces you to alter the attack and get out of what you like to do. Our guys know what to do. But it was ugly watching them try to do it.

And on that last play, Khalif's best option was to hit his bigs after the hedge. They were both open for the tre'. And both were very good shooters tonight. All he had to do was make the pass, but that was the hard part because of our length. Wilson got a little dumb asking for a travel during the actual play, when he should have had his hands up to force a lob pass, but his chase forced the action. It looked like Battle wanted the shot himself, but it was near impossible with Wilson and Francis right there in the conjestion.

One more thing: Playing in Indianapolis makes it 100% a home game for Purdue. The only better place for them would be Mackey Arena in West Lafayette. I'm very surprised the NCAA would reward a #4 seed this way.

UH should still win easily unless they choke badly.

    UConn has entered the chat.

They're certainly playing like they don't want their ridiculous Tourney winning streak to end.

I think LJ Cryer might play his way to being a second round pick. If he’s an elite shooter and plays tough defense he could def be an Aaron Holiday type.

Handles and size are the questions.

But I would be kinda shocked if someone doesn't take a flyer on him in the 2nd round.

If it was 1996, he’d make a good combo guard off the bench. 6th man type.

    LJ "Microwave" Cryer?

He's allegedly 1 inch taller than Aaron Holliday. Just saying.

A guard who can shoot it and play defense isn't the worst thing to have near the end of your bench.

Well then, whenever we play Utah he can match up with Hornacek

Or he could make a great living overseas being the Vinnie Johnson of Greece

Cryer could be a worse version of lou Williams. Both aren't tall but good shooter.

    thats pretty sick.

wild to think how much better everything is at UH compared to say 10-15 years ago. even for aac/cusa standards, our facilities were ****ing terrible.

I'm class of '05. I played in the Cougar Brass and was a resident assistant on campus. I remember playing racquetball in the bowels of Hofheinz stepping over dead rats and trash older than the moonlanding (few people even knew there were courts underneath the bleachers). I remember giving recruits housing tours and knowing full well that even though they sucked we were going to have to beg them to commit. I remember performing to crowds where you could literally count the number fans in attendance (and you probably would because you were so bored).

Seeing the program where it is now is insane to me. It's surreal, and it's why I'm savoring it. This will be the 4th NCAA tournament I have attended for the Coogs in a row. I know that any minute this could all disappear. The life of a Houston fan is fickle. Make hay while the sun is shining.

I want to see Uzan looking to score a little more. I want to see Arceneaux knock down a few shots. I want to see us start fast, get a fair whistle, and win going away. Go Coogs!

The Thursday 9:00 pm game is in California so it starts around 7:00 pm in the arena there. The Friday 9:00 pm game is in Indianapolis which means it's not starting there until 10:10 pm at the earliest. A Sweet 16 game that runs past midnight. Okay.

Look at the teams playing on the 28th.

Houston might as well be Los Angeles in terms of how the TV networks are concerned when comparing us to so many major eastern timezone schools.
