    His defense was a disaster?

I remember in the 3rd quarter when Murray made like 2 buckets on Green both fairly contested and people were blaming him and he sat out at like the 7 minutes mark....

And Murray scored like 10 straight points.

    Why are you blaming him?

They hunt him because Jalen is our highest usage perimeter guy they know the Rockets rely on heavily to generate offense and want him tired. They do the same with Alpi also but also you always as a offensive perimeter player want a big like Alpi to switch on to you on the perimeter. Hunting Green isn't an indictment of Jalen. It's a combo of every other perimeter and wing defender on the Rockets being elite with Tari, Amen, Brooks and the Nuggets wanting to tire out the legs of a high usage guard the Rockets rely on heavily to generate offense.

You see opposing teams do this to the other team's most important offensive players. It tires their legs out making them less effective on offense. Murray wasn't blowing by him. He made some difficult shots over him, the same type of shots he was making on Fred, Amen, Brooks etc. In fact I remember Green either blocking or making Murray completely wiff at the rim on a post up inside the restricted area.

Because we don't have a backup point guard who is competent running the offense. Aaron Holiday is more of a shooter and we saw when FVV went down that Jalen and Amen clearly are not ready to run the offense.

    Can’t say this enough.
But we need a real scorer. KD would be perfect.

Im not certain we needed a point guard today. We needed someone to hit open shots. And we needed to put Amen on Jamal.

I hate the three guard lineup. I hate 1 guard lineups.

Overplaying starters is ****ing stupid, especially starters playing poorly.

    Udoka only played 8 players.
Tari and Bari only played 15 mins.

if you read my post about jalen as a blame post, i don't know what to tell you.

where in my post did i blame jalen for the loss? all i pointed out was he need to add another different shot to his arsenal.

Running the offense isnt important when the shot they generate is a FVV brick.

FVV was great last couple of games but when he is playing bas Ime should have presence of mind to bench his ass.

You cant just add a mid range game. Rather than adding he should just cut mid range from his game altogether. Dude is a 16% mid range shooter he just sucks ass at it.

You can't use logic with that poster.

I'm pretty certain he's one of those guys that calls sports talk after every game just to yell.

He doesn't ever provide any insight, he just biitches and moans.

I know lots of people irl like him. They just want to let out frustration. I dont think ive ever seen an optimistic post from him.

then that just make your game too predictable against the defense. just guard the 3 and the paint and you're set for your defensive plan.

Rockets have lots of weapons we dont rely on just one guy to score all the shots we dont even have a superstar. Those weapons already make the Rox unpredictable whats important is Jalen is elite at what he does so he doesnt waste posessions.

If Jalen is efficient with 3s and drives and fts then thats good enough already cuz we have Sengun, Amen, Jatari etc

Yeah, Ime's rotations were very strange in this game. Didn't quite get what he was trying to do.

As soon as we had that third quarter collapse I knew this one was over. You can't go into the 4th quarter down big and expect it to work out every time like it did against Philly.

P.S. People need to give Jamal Murray his dues. I keep hearing people dismiss his talent and say he can't create. My view is that he's an all-star caliber point guard who just hasn't made it in due to injury problems. Sure, he's kind of right at the borderline, a low-level star-caliber player, but he's very good nonetheless and very capable of going off at any time. Just like against Philly with Grimes, our biggest mistake this game was not taking him seriously--as soon as we started doubling him and treating him like the excellent offensive player he is, things started to turn around--but that came too late to save the game.

His lowest percentage shot. It’s a heat check shot that looks good when we’re up. But for the most part it’s a hopes and dreams shot that he needs to get rid of and come up with something better.

Didn’t watch the game due to other commitments, but can someone tell me how we let Murray basically hang a 40 burger on us? I feel like if Amen isn’t guarding the perimeter our perimeter defense isn’t very good. What happened there?

it’s Who takes the FTs - Amen and Alpi have been awful … Adams isn’t great … Fred and Dillion don’t take enough along with JG to offset Amen and Alpi

Anytime we have a lineup with Dillon or Amen playing the 4, we straight up suck. Why have we made this our starting lineup??

Net rating with Dillon or Amen at the 4, in 800 minutes this season: -9.9

Net rating with Jabari, Tari, or Alpi at the 4, in 4100 minutes this season: +7.5

    That's a 17 point swing!

Yea I agree here. Green stayed in front of him for the most part. Murray was just unconscious today regardless of who guarded him. We really missed out on trapping him more in 3rd quarter to get the ball out of his hands. He went nuclear.

wow those are some interesting stats. Amen was great in the dunkers spot last yr. What do u think is the reason it’s not working? Spacing?
