Diaz, Caratini, Walker, Pena, Paredes, Alvarez, and Altuve are guaranteed spots. Dubon and Meyers are 99% guaranteed spits. Chas is 95% guaranteed a spot. that leaves 3 openings: 2b: Rodgers or Short - likely 1 and only 1 if them make it. I think its 80+% Rodgers. RF and last bench spot: Dezenzo, Smith, and Hummel. I have to admit I never gave Hummel a chance but it's looking more and more like he's the last guy on the bench. It's important to note, though, that for position players they have not reported any players actually making it - only those who have not. Chandler Rome reported that VanWey won't make the club which leaves the bullpen 1 short with no bullpen arms left in camp. He said that Ryan Gusto who was send to minor league camp 2 weeks ago may be the guy. This tells me that Gusto already being on the 40 man roster was important in that decision. That tells me that it is even more likely that they send Smith down to start the year.
I think Dezenzo in LF, Cam in RF and Altuve at 2B is a legit possibility Just because Dana has said Jose will be in RF doesn’t mean anything, he lies all the time
I really wish they could keep both Rodgers and Guillorme, but if I have to choose one it would be Rodgers. Will Guillorme be playing in Sugarland for us at least?
And Yordan had below a .670 ops against the Tigers, pirates, nationals, braves, Yankees, orioles, padres, Marlins, reds, dodgers, Cubs and guardians last year encompassing nearly 200 plate appearances. Not really sure what this vs Mets and vs others is supposed to mean or if it's a joke then I guess it went over my head.
Per Rome, Short has an assignment clause and Rodgers has an opt out, so neither guy is likely to go to AAA if they don’t make the team. But I think the roster is pretty much set: LF Altuve 3B Paredes DH Alvarez 1B Walker C Diaz RF Smith/Dezenzo 2B Rodgers SS Pena CF Meyers Bench: Dubon, McCormick, Caratini, Hummel Rotation: Framber, Brown, Arrighetti, Blanco, Wesneski Bullpen: Hader, Abreu, Scott, King, Okert, Montero, Contreras, Gusto/TBD
He had 0.3 bWAR and -.1 fWAR in 400 plate appearances last year. He seems like a nice guy and it’s a shame he never reached his potential, but with regular playing time and at 33 years old he seems to be a replacement level 1B at best.
That's the RIVAL. It used to be WO Chiefs and Stark Tigers. I always thought the merger should have been the WOS Chiggers. They just have a way of burrowing under your skin.
France claimed their border was the Neches River. Spain claimed their border was the Sabine River. Neither relinquished their claim, but neither would antagonize the other by entering it to rule it. Michael Berry is the younger MB from Orange.
Right. https://www.explorelouisiana.com/articles/louisianas-no-mans-land https://64parishes.org/entry/neutral-strip Who is Michael Berry?
Why is Hummel even in consideration? He is more ass than Singleton...at least Singleton will hit a nuke every few weeks.
