Even if Bridges is worse having both Bridges and Simmons who is healthy would def make them better. Werent they 0.500 before the deadline? They only started tanking after they got rid of Dennis, Simmons and DFS. Bridges, Simmons, DFS, Dennis Schroder theres no way Nets arent a playoff team with how bad the East is. Even worse next year Ben Simmons is gone they can sign someone else with that contract. So other than making 2025 worse if we kept the pick it would also ruin the 2026 and 2027 swaps.
They are major upgrades when you consider Nets are playing our version of Daishen Nix. Dennis S: 18.4/6.4/2.8/ 58.8% TS Nets are obviously tanking again they were pretty much 0.500 before the Nets got rid of those guys and thats without Mikal already.
They had to trade DFS and Schroeder to be this bad though. They wouldn't have done that if they didn't have their pick. So it's not just Bridges. They would have had all of those guys. And it's just not that hard to make the playoffs in the East.
Let's also remember that in the East you can be BADLY lower than 0.500 and STILL make the playoffs. It's too damn easy to make the playoffs in the East. I used to do the Harden test on teams. You put Harden on Nets right now and they might be the 4th seed. It's basically superstacked Cavs, Celltics, Knicks and a bunch of trash. There are 5 supertanking teams and there is a fight amongst them because Wizards and Hornets have godlike tanking ability. Even Utah and NOLA are jealous. It's easy to lose in the West. You have to really fight to suck that bad in the East.
Today's diet of games. We want: MIL over PHX DAL over BKN Then as a bonus CHI over DEN ORL over LAL SAC over BOS A 5/5 night would be incredible for our own playoff seeding odds as well as very handy for the picks future
Don't know if anybody else is watching this one, but KPJ continues to f*** us over with his sh*tty play
The Suns keep winning. They heard the chatter about their schedule and their so call demise. Just sucks for us…..
If we are gonna trade for anyone on the Suns it should be KD over Booker. Dude is straight up one of the 10 best players in the world. The Suns pick is 13th but I think 13th is the worst it can drop
The Suns are playing like one of the better teams in the league recently. And unfortunately Tatum just got injured for the Celtics, so the Suns next game may be even easier.
I'm beginning to think about the merit of this in the short run, but the Rockets should retain Sengun, Jalen, Amen and Tari.
To be fair I dont think it would even be a short run at all, I think KD will still be an all world player for the next 5 yrs and then he will still be a decent starter level player till he retires. The only issue is his health and durability dude got injured making a layup during warmups. Honestly I think KD is better than Booker, next year Booker has 2 yr on his deal and then he would an extension starting at around 70M when he is 32 yr old. Thats way too much he might end up leaving so we only get two years of Booker or we make him even more overpaid than he already is.
