Too bad so sad for CamBron. This is the time of season when coaches start to tighten up the lineup. He seems to be on the outside from here on.
I advocated a balance between player development and winning for this season because we are not realistically contending for a title. But that's earlier. Our records exceed expectations. It's time to go all in to win as much as we can. Other than the tanking teams, nobody develops players in the last stretch of the season. This is the time to prepare for the playoffs, figure out lineups and tactics. The rotation will most likely shorten in the playoffs. That means the 10th-15th guys (especially the last 3 guys) aren't going to get much PT unless there are injuries. Cam is current at about #14 in the depth chart.
I advocated for Whitmore leading up to the draft. And it still the highest potential pick that we could’ve made. That being said there were a couple guys taken that would probably fit into our team more. Cam really needs to be in a situation where he is giving a lot of minutes and a lot of shots. Strange to say it like this, but this is one of the few guys that would’ve benefited from the early Silas years. I definitely have concerns about his defense. And I Notice something off with him in the half court that makes me question if he will ever be able to get to the rim And or make decisions at a high enough level while penetrating the defense when it’s set. I’m thinking he is candidate number one on the roster to get traded in the summer. Which will be a bummer. That being said, I don’t feel like he has earned playing time this year and mostly, I noticed a lot of negativity in his body language. Young people like that need not be coddled. That being said, if he returns next year, I really hope we carve out the six man role for him and commit to it for a while to let him get in a rhythm. He should focus on identifying and making the correct pass quickly, hitting his three-point shots and figuring out a couple easy replicable Straight line drives to the rim. Everyone has to remember to he is still just very, very young.
Apparently y'all are more worried about Cam than Cam is worried about Cam. He's still puttin in work :
I'm for developing Sengun and Amen first as they are win now and have a ton of longterm upside. Put players around them that work (i.e., actually produces a high net rating). I'd also have Tari pretty high on my list as he's win now with a possible long term fit, though I expect this is an unpopular opinion. Other than than that, players need to be able to play with Amen and Sengun or a backup unit.
Maybe so, but this was his own account and included the caption ‘I don’t remember this at all’ … implying he was drunk enough to not remember what he was doing. He can live his life, but if he’s getting wasted and hooking up during the season - and then bragging about it on social media - he’s not exactly putting his physical and mental state first or assuaging the ‘me first’ reputation he has earned. The game is more than jumping high and being strong. Defense, personal accountability, being a professional all matter. Ime gets it, Cam and his perpetual ‘why not Cam?’ supporters do not.
No chance this is going to sit well with the Rockets right? In general I don’t get guys posting with chicks they hung on social media.
This is the usual thot collection,.......not impressed. Easily can do those after he hits 37 and in retirement if he still has dough.
Let's be honest. Cam was in the same club Jalen and Sengun were that night. Both those guys played like crap against Miami. Cam was dumb enough to post on IG. That's it.
