Was it the minor league hitting coach or the old guy in the Cape Cod league that Cam mentions in interviews? Ray Korn? I didn't realize he changed anything between college in the minor leagues. https://www.chron.com/sports/astros/article/cam-smith-swing-cape-cod-league-20226561.php
I haven't been this excited about a prospect since Alvarez. I wasn't even this excited about Tucker and his Ted Williams swing. Cam is Bregman's batting approach in Correa's body. I've been really noticing what he swings at and doesn't swing at, and he seldom swings at bad pitches even when he falls behind in counts. In his first at bat yesterday, he fell behind 0-2 and then worked the count back to 3-2 before he swung at a pitch that was in the zone. He doesn't fall for the low and away slider like Pena and Chas do.

That's why Altuve and Dubon are pillars of that clubhouse. Reminds me of Altuve hyping up Carlitos, Yordan and Jeremy before their MLB debut. They're missing a clubhouse DJ after Tucker's departure. I wonder who carries the music torch now
“We got to pick a new one,” Altuve said. “We’ll see. It won’t be me, but maybe [Mauricio] Dubón or Jake [Meyers]. Not Chas [McCormick], for sure.” Altuve said having a good mixture of music is the key to keeping a clubhouse that has players from the U.S., Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Cuba, Honduras and South America entertained. “They need to play some Latin music, some country music, some rap -- everything, depending on the day,” he said. “That’s what makes it good, so hopefully we can pick a guy who can mix it up for everybody.” https://www.mlb.com/news/mauricio-dubon-a-contender-to-be-astros-next-clubhouse-dj Chas just gets no respect anywhere. I'm now curious what music he likes.
