I kept wondering what's been going on with Sengun. Was it mostly Refs swallowing their whistles? Or really just he needs to work on his condition so that he wouldn't be pushed around so easily
I think it’s the height. And they were doubling him as soon as he turn his head. But when we play those tall lanky guys, he seems to float those hooks a little higher and the seem to come off his hand differently as he accounts for their height and springiness.
I haven't forgotten Herro smugly dancing his way out of TC after he baited Thompson into getting ejected. Watching Thompson take the ball from him at half court and jam it to ice this game was a delicious riposte.
When shooting, his hands were like flippers. He was 0-4 from the FT line. It was like he had no muscle memory and had never shot a basketball before. Not the first time this happened but it was the worst he's looked this season IMO. He was -9 in 34 mins while Steven Adams was +7 in 21 mins. Don't listen to the excuses people are making for him. Alpi was pathetic on offense.
It's the second dunk. Enjoy! EDIT: Just rewind to the beginning and watch all 2 mins of Amen's highlights.
What does Amen playing PF have to do with him being +20? His numbers tanked every time he played PF when he played guard thats when his numbers went up. You'd know that if yiu actually watched the game. Dude had 7 steals destroyed Tyler Herro several times and you want him to be a PF? Just stop. We have good shooters in FVV, DB, Jabari and Tari we should use them to provide spacing so Sengun, Amen and Jalen can all do their damage.
Sengun had no touch on his shot from the very start. I can tell he was bricking those free throws before he even shot them. You can see it in his body language. Some of these performances have been mind boggling lately because it doesn't like it's due to fatigue, just lack of preparation and focus. What is he doing in shootarounds? Even though he saved the Sixers game, he was dogwater for most of it. This game he had no feel on both ends of the court and he was repeatedly spazzing out all over the court. It was in front of his childhood idol, Hedo Turkoglu too. Embarrassing performance for him.
Did Sengun and Jalen party on South Beach with the day off?! They looked hungover, played pathetically.
Yeah, hopefully tonight's performance shuts up the clowns who argue Alpi wasn't awful against the Sixers, who didn't even have a C to guard him.
lol we literally came back with him at PF. Let me be clear — I don’t give a damn what position he plays so long as he’s on the floor.
I agree. One of his worst offensive showings of the season. The length of both Ware and Bam affected him big time. He should bounce back next game.
