I hate to be a broken record, but this was another typical Rockets win: They were outshot yet again but made up for it by winning the TO battle 20-15 and dominating the O-glass 14-5. They also shot a putrid 10/21 from the FT line. Without Fred and Amen, this might have been a 20-point loss.
Good win. A nice example of our team’s depth; basically doing it without our newly extended 4th yr guys. Excited to keep our win streak going on Sunday. Nice to see Fred play well and really shoot it. He needs to play like that in the playoffs for me to feel better about the terrible year he’s had while making max money. Sengun continues to struggle finishing around the rim, continues to argue fouls instead of getting back on D, continues to show no ability to hit the mid-range consistently, and continues to miss foul shots at a alarming rate. It’s disappointing. I thought Jalen was over pulling his disappearing acts, but I guess not. Amen continues to be the one guy I’d bet the farm on to be an all nba player and definitely our franchise player. 7 steals tonight aufkm?
There is a conspiracy somewhere in there. Think we have another 6 more consecutive wins before we run out of gas with the streak.
Really bad game for Sengun. But he had some key rebounds down the stretch. amen looked great and had two nasty steals and fast break dunks. But his shot is flatter than usual; hopefully just trying to get his lift back on the jumper after sitting out two weeks. Jumping well off the run. Dylan wasn’t very impactful after the first quarter. Tari was erratic. Jalen was okay. Jabari was meh outside a few big second chance threes (usually after missing the initial shot). and freethrows, what the hell guys. You can’t have 3 straight empty sets. all that and we still won. Can’t wait for Sunday.
