GCU just getting out talented in this game. Maryland is toying with them. Bryce Drew still looks like Fred Savage.
It’s pretty cool to have St. John’s back in the tournament, I remember watching Chris Mullin playing for one of my all time favorite coaches Leo Carnesecca. Can’t believe Georgetown has been so crappy for a while now. But I digress
The old Big East was tough...Carnesecca, Boeheim, John Thompson, etc... Georgetown Syracuse St John's UConn Providence Seton Hall BC Villanova
Those were some great teams, if I recall correctly I believe players had to stay 3 years before going pro. I still love college hoops but the one and done is not something I favor
Was the PAC 10 back then the Atlantic 10, metro, and WAC were also somewhat dangerous for mid major conferences.
Don’t forget Pitt! Charles Smith Demetrius Gore Jerome Lane Curtis Aiken Sean Miller (xavier coach) Rod Brookin That was a good team in the mid to late 80’s.
The Nolan Richardson Hogs vs Tom Penders Horns were some serious up and down the court battles. I was there for 'em. I don't remember anyone else in the conference, teams or players
After the hogs left, and pat foster left and was replaced by alvin brooks, the swc was terrible. Texas wasn’t anything special those last few years.
