Well if we sign and draft enough OL someone will play average at least.

I can envision Fisher as the swing tackle behind Robinson at LT and Brown at RT and actually getting more snaps than either. Many of the IOL favorites have been tackles with short arms who made it work in College, but might be better inside in the pros. But that does give them experience moving inside to outside in a pinch.

Competition. This is about creating a competitive environment with some experienced guys and some youth blended in. I love it--fight for your job versus I'm slated to be the starting ____.

Also we're adding some beef to the line with Mr, Robinson and Mr. Brown.

Don’t know if anyone else said anything, but with the patella tear, I think we just signed him to see how it’s affecting him since they don’t get to work out Josh Simmons lol. Big brain move by BDN

Trent Brown injury happened on September 23, 2024
Josh Simmons injury happened on October 22, 2024

And we don't know if either one will be able to go come training camp

It’s still like getting to “give Josh a physical” before draft day.

I thought it was a good catch and idea. Happened a month apart so their timetables might be similar.

Aren't they different injuries? (all injuries are different, I know)

I was looking at the same thing in the draft. Our biggest competition have run heavy offenses and defenses and at some point, we'll have to beat them with a line that competes physically.

How do you have a "run heavy" defense?

More beef and strength along the DL and LBers. A couple of fatty's on short yardage and goal line downs.

That's just a personnel and positioning thing, not an overall scheme
