We're currently the fourth best team in the league, according to won-loss records with 85% of the season completed, on pace to win 54 games. Whatever parts aren't fitting don't seem to be hurting us. From my POV, the only position that needs improving is PG. Trading Jalen for Booker accomplishes nothing except maybe making us a slower team.
Our regular season record is pretty good, but we have a lot of wins against teams resting players, we are not seen as a real threat, you know why? Because we aren't one yet. We can't shoot, we can't cover a PnR - we will get run in the playoffs, maybe MAYBE we win 1 round, at most. DD
They rest players against the rockets because they don’t want to be exposed as inferior against Stone and Ime’s lions of basketball justice.
and if you watched last night they ran the play again for a baseline corner 3 vs baseline midrange and was again successful
If we do poorly in the playoffs this year, it'll be due to youth and a lack of experience, not a lack of Devin Booker.
And if you weren't selective, you would have mentioned they ran the same play with him making a corner 3 so why on earth take the corner midrange?
im not selective, they play works with either the midrange or the 3 … it just depends on how he’s being defended when he comes off the screen lol like I said I agree with you for most part
DD is a March is always an easy schedule. Players are resting Players are making vacation plans G-league players get called up (confused with baseball) Coaches let assistants coach games Waterboys (girls) are taking finals ( March not May) Blah Blah Blah
The Nuggets literally rested Jokic against the Rockets. This was a back to back game and he clearly would be fit to play but they chose to rest him instead. The Rockets rested a bunch of players against OKC when they were on the road as well and it's largely because they felt the odds were stacked against them on the front end of a back to back. Teams resting their best players against the Rockets is a function of the fact that this team is seen as tough to beat with an aggressive, physical defensive scheme. Therefore, if conditions are not favorable (long road trip, b2b), they'll rather focus on keeping their stars healthy instead. If teams rest their best players against you even when that player is healthy, you are either a major threat, or you are a bottom feeder team that teams are confident in beating without their best player.
