Because he’s most certainty isn’t the brain - they need to lock him in the gym this summer and run fast breaks and make him pass it every time last night everyone was telling him to chill and be quiet and he kept chirping at the ref … I’m just happy we overcame it
The game against Orlando was the first time I've seen Tari trying so hard to distribute, whether it was on the break or otherwise. Someone must've had a word with him about that. His timing is still...weird and his passes aren't necessarily comfortable, but trying is the first step towards change! I hope whatever he was told sticks and he can be a bit more under control going forward. Never have I loved a player that also frustrates me to this degree.
Honestly, Tari should replace Brooks in the starting lineup - and we should trade Brooks after this season - as he has good value.... DD
Amen's injury is allowing Tari to log a lot of minutes and find his niche in the Rocket's offense. He's moving on from being just a straight line finisher or 3-D wing. Tari has so much room for growth. If Tari figures out a little back-to the basket game--as he showed against the Magic--he become a legit late shot clock option. He's fabulous at causing chaos and winning in helter skelter moments, but Tari grows into a star if he can glide into place and show some touch in the paint.
If the plan is to trade DB after the season, no way you take him and his 40% 3-pt shooting out of the starting lineup.
Tari had some nice passes against Orlando. Unfortunately they were too Adams and Jabari so he didn’t get the assists
I want to see an FVV, Amen, Brooks, Tari, and Sengun lineup, even as a 2nd or 3rd unit. Best PG. Best four switchable defenders not counting Tate and JSJ. Best 2 rebounders not counting Adams. Best center. Best 3 passers. Only major weaknesses are shooting and maybe a little on the perimeter playmaking.
He's working on adding skill sets to his game. His passing/playmaking is improving, his general offensive bag is evolving and I think he's working on developing a post game. That is perfect, along with being a dominant catch-and-shoot three-point shooter, would really open the door and take his game to another level skill-wise.
He is definitely a 20 and 8 guy with the best advanced stats.....has to reel off consecutive full seasons though. He is overlooked among the Core 6 or Core 7.
Yeah, I do, I think being 30ish, and we have a better player in Tari, we should try to get something for him, Brooks while shooting better is getting nearer the end of his career, he can't stay in front of quicker players anymore, but he is effective, and surprisingly good on offense. So, we should be able to maximize him as an asset. DD
I don’t agree. His handles are tighter than year 1. His paint scoring improved to 63% from 54% rookie year. His FG% on drives increased to 43% from 37% also from rookie year.
