Bro they arent making the playoffs. 7 of their last 10 games are vs contenders the rest is us, Spurs and Kings. Even if they win all those in the play in they need to beat Clippers, Wolves and Kings.

If KD and Booker can do that they would never have fallen so far in the first place.

Phoenix will have an absurdly difficult schedule to finish the season.

However, OKC, Cleveland, Boston and even the Knicks have little to play for, since their position is more or less secured and unlikely to change with only 12-14 games left. There is a very good chance that these top teams will rest their players more proactively.

People are mistaking their ability to squeak by Toronto and Chicago with what is going to happen next. Once they lose 5 games in a row including us they are shutting down Durant and Booker. Its over. Portland is going to pass them. Dallas will pass them. San Antonio will probably beat them and maybe pass them.

In the very unlikely chance they make the playoffs, we’d still jump up like 10 spots.

I disagree about OKC and Cleveland. They're both trying to clinch the best record in the league and secure home court if they reach the Finals and face each other.

CBS Sports gives Phoenix a 9% chance of making the playoffs. I was never good at math, but that sounds like less than 100%.

Assuming the pick ends up mid-late lotto I really want to trade this pick. If not as part of a package for another significant piece, we should try to swap it for a 2026 pick, which we currently don’t have and is likely to be a much deeper draft.

Im normally very supportive of actually drafting with our picks, but we really tested the limits of that this season with Cam and Reed both struggling to get on the court. I see Reed as our defacto draft pick this year, and we have to figure out what to do about Cam. But we probably don’t realistically have a rotation spot for a rookie next season. So unless it’s one of the elite players in the draft, we absolutely should not draft a player with this pick; we have to trade this pick.

Exactly, WHEN they play is more important then WHO going into the last week of the season.

I wonder if we package the pick with Cam. It just looks like he has no future with us.

we aren’t gonna be able to give him a runway next year when we are trying to contend. He has immense talent, but if he can’t come in next season improved or he’s bad behind the scenes, packaging him is a great idea. I have to trust that the org makes the right call on Cam this offseason. I don’t view him as just a “throw-in” in a trade.

They're almost certain to finish no better than 10th. And Portland ain't going away, so even that's not a guarantee.

I wouldn't mind trading the pick (if late lotto or #15) for a 2026 pick, but I'm hoping there's a frontcourt player the team likes. Adams expires this summer and neither he nor Landale look like the long-term answer for backup center. Jabari can fill in quite well but he and Sengun being our only long-term big prospects feels light. Sengun is showing signs of chemistry with Adams in the double big lineup so there's opportunity to develop a center. And centers take longer to develop so if we're trying to find a backup through the draft we might as well start now.

There is no "expand" in Texas, all the casinos are across the OK and LA borders. Ask the State Legislature if/when casino gambling will be allowed.

You're on the right track, though.

I disagree. We actually have a very thin rotation.

    Sengun/Jalen/Jabari/DB/FVV
    Tari/Amen/Adams

We have only 8 guys that arent scrub level.

    Cam/Reed/Nfaly Dante-> question mark, not seeing play/bad
Jeff/Tate/Holiday/Jock-> not a rotation player for a playoff team.

We need better depth whether draft or free agency.
It is fine if we are all healthy but if somebody gets injured or somebody is playing bad Rox start losing games.

Gambling is illegal in the entire state - except for on the indian reservations who are exempt from most state law.

They'll have to put it to a vote in the mid term elections - it's failed many times over the last 40 years - after that it would go to the state legislation.

Cleveland & OKC are separated by a single game for the top overall seed and home court.

NYK leads Indy by 3.5 games, that could tighten. have to see how this one plays out, could be meaningless, or not.

Boston is really the only one locked into their seed right now.

If Maluach or Queen is on the board when we pick and they have a good grade on them i think you have to take them. This team is going to need cheap players really soon with Bari, Tari, and Amen coming up on extensions soon.
