Yeah sometimes I do believe we show our hand.

Visit w/ Golden same day we sign a T. Would love Golden, though.

I think Daniel Jeremiah has great intel from great sources.

He predicted the Texans would draft Stroud at #2 and trade up to #3 and draft Anderson in his final mock draft the day before the draft.

So I'm intrigued by what he thinks.

Thanks for the clips. He's a rare receiver who catches with his hands, but near his body rather than away from it. I'm sure there are exceptions of course, but these clips seem to indicate it is his prevailing method of catching the ball.

I'm thrilled that we signed Cam Robinson. However, my first choice, if available, is Kelvin Banks. I know we really need Golden/Egbuka, but Kelvin is a whole level better than both. Kelvin is a potential perennial all-pro or close to it. Unfortunately I doubt that Kelvin is there at 25.

If Walter Nolan is available, it will be very difficult to pass on him, regardless of offensive needs.

This isn't necessarily how I would pick but perhaps how Nick might.

Easy to pass on him because there are tons of DTs in this draft to be had on day 2

Why did Nolen transfer to Ole Miss from Texas A&M? Was this NIL money grab? I have a hard time understanding why he was a big time player at one of the top schools going to a less competitive school.

He was a bit time recruit but an incredibly disappointing player at A&M, but he had a good year last year. That's one of the ? about him.

I kind of like what the Texans have been doing the last couple of years with their interior defensive line. Use free agency to acquire your players and let other teams draft interior defensive line. The Texans are always rotating their defensive line players in to keep them fresh. Use your top draft picks on players that will play every down.

After trading up with the Bucs (probably a bit too much but we still have 2026 picks in rounds 2-7)

    19. Matthew Golden WR Texas
    25. Colston Loveland TE Michigan
    79. Alfred Collins DT Texas
    84. Dylan Fairchild OG Georgia
    166. Jack Kiser LB Notre Dame
    236. Jaydon Blue RB Texas
    241. ?
    2026 TB 4th

You might have to jump Seattle at 18 to get Golden

I think your on to something. With the Texans signing Cam Robinson, Guard is now the biggest need on the team. The Texans now have an extra 2nd round pick next year and 2 3rd round picks this year. I would bet that the Texans are using some of that draft capital to move up and select Tyler Booker. McShay and other top draft analysts are saying that teams are really impressed with Booker. They said that teams have Booker ranked higher than draft analysts and they don't think Booker will make it out of the top 20. Alabama... Captain.... strong character & leadership.. I think this is the draft target of the Texans in the 1st round.

If it came down to selecting a wide receiver in the 1st round, for instance if the offensive lineman you liked are already taken or you can't find a trade partner to move up, I would go with Jayden Higgins. Luther Burden, Emeka Egbuka, and even Matthew Golden are a little redundant with the wide receivers the Texans already have. They are all smaller inside guys. We already have Dell, Kirk, and Metchie. Metchie should flourish in the new offense system.. I would like to see another outside 6'4 wide receiver with rare athletic ability to pair with Collins.. if you think you can draft Higgins in the 2nd round, your wrong. Wide receivers with his size and athletic ability don't make it to the 2nd round.
