Lmao Jose Abreu hit over .300 last spring and Bregman hit .383 before sucking ass for 2 months to start the season. You having any takeaway from spring training stats is wild.
Playing Altuve in the outfield and keeping Cam Smith off the team would be Dusty Baker tier baseball malpractice.
Well, the team's batting average has gone up each of the last two seasons (.248 -> .259 -> .262). So, no, it hasn't been going down the last few years.
Altuve struggling and he knows.... https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/3...t-really-happy-with-performance-in-left-field
Agreed. Imagine being in a sales position where one month a year you're asked to work on your pitch and none of the sales you get count.
Both are really good young players. If Dezenzo could play some 2B and he was a SS in college this would solve a lot of issues. Altuve will get better, he just needs to slow down and remember to secure the catch 1st when runners are on base. He doesn't have this issue when nobody is on base. He's learning.
At this point it’s hard to see Smith or Dezenzo not making the roster, so it’s down to 5 guys competing for 1 position player spot: Singleton, Gamel, Rodgers, Guillorme and a dark horse in Cooper Hummel, who is out of options.
Rodgers. They may put cam or dezenzo in AAA for a couple of weeks just so they can have some flexibility.
