It's only become important again recently because of the shift ban. If we could still shift, I think Jose would still be a second baseman

In a small sample size, no.
Yes. Plate discipline stats stabilize much quicker than batting average, slugging, and OPS which need half a season to stabilize.

I wouldn't take too much into Spring Training stats as Chas was great last year if I recall correctly.

I know Chas kinda stunk for big parts of last season, but he's been well above average in other seasons. I'm going to chalk last season up as an aberration due to injury, and I'm hoping for he gets back closer to 2023. If he continues to stink, then we have a few options including Cam.

I just don’t see it with Chas. If I’m wrong this year I’ll happily eat crow.

He literally came into camp focused on plate discipline because he swung at too many pitches outside the zone last season. That is exactly what his numbers are showing. If he continues to walk in over 20 percent of his plate appearances, he will be fine.

Dumb movie and singles are better with men on base than walks

True, but a walk can still move people along and increase pitch count. It's not better than a single but its still good.

Another walk for Chas. Talk about completely changing his approach this season. Now I want Chas to learn how to steal bases like Ohtani.

Put him back at 2b. It’s not like he’s terrible there. His range is not great but he belongs at 2b.

I’m sure Yordan and Altuve will hit less than 200 all year.
