Give me the Warriors. Amen locks Butler. Tari punks Dray. Jalen and Fred contain Curry. Jabari vs Kuminga entertains us all.
Exactly. If we want our young guys to get a real taste of the playoffs atmosphere then take a shot at the golden boys. I don't even care that much if we end up losing the series as a whole. Give them hell, put on a show and come back next year hungry for more.
Ideally I'd like to see the Clippers in the first round. Harden may feel comfortable in Houston, but that team's lack of depth will show up in the playoffs and both LA teams have some of the worst road records of any West playoff teams. Kawhi is a shell of his former self, 35 year old Harden being guarded by Amen, Dillon, Tari, and Jabari, is going to be difficult. I remember when we would have one guy like Shane Battier to rely on to guard the other teams best player, we have multiple people we can throw at Harden. As much as I feel the Rockets recovered really well from the Harden trade, and have years of returns to still look forward to, I think they need to eliminate him from the playoffs to really fully recover from him asking to be traded and giving up on the franchise.
Last night's game is the way I see the matchup between the Rockets and the Lakers going. The KEY is going to be ALPREN SENGUN.....CAN HE STAY ON THE FLOOR DEFENSIVELY? If Alpi can stay on the floor, the Rockets can beat the Lakers.
The small lineups aren't killing us because of our defense. It takes away our best offense when they swarm sengun with 3 defenders. Because we turn it over too much trying to get him the ball. Whether he doesn't seal properly or we just throw bad passes. like even last night he somehow ended up a plus 2 for the game. Not like our defense was better when he sat. We gave up 137 points with him on the bench most of the game so it definitely wasn't his defense that was the issue. It just we don't have a counter to when he gets swarmed.
I think the Lakers would be heavy favorites against us. Luka with an LA Laker jersey on would shoot 20 free throws a game against us. We wouldn't be allowed to play physical against them. Tari would foul out in 9 minutes. Sengun would get abused by Luka and Reaves a few times and Ime would bench him. Fred would lose his mind with the officiating and would choke one out. Amen would toss Bronny to the ground and be thrown out. Cam Whitmore might defect to the Laker's bench.... It's just better that we don't play the Lakers.
Based on playoff probabilities we are most likely going to be the 2nd seed and GSW most likely position is the 7th seed...this will not be fun. I want to play anyone but GSW. Yeah, I might have PTSD but we barely beat this team when they didn't have Butler.
I'd like the Warriors as well. I want to see Sengun destroy Draymond Green. I hope Ime puts in some double big lineups and Draymond takes a shot at Alpi. I then would like to see Steven Adams give Draymond the beating he deserves. I think we matchup well the Warriors overall. I think Amen is a Jimmy Butler solution. I think our defensive intensity can bother them. I think we'll control the boards. They don't have much rim protection and I believe Jalen and Amen can have a lot of success on drives. Beating the Warriors would mean more than beating the Grizzlies. That's why I want the Warriors.
Ime was putting him on the opponents weakest offensive weapon and it seemed to work. Have him guarding Vanderbilt or their center can work.
The Houston team is like a non newtonian fluid. If it faces something hard, it gets harder, and if it faces a soft team, you can ask, “What happened to this team that we lost to them?” So, Houston can beat the toughest team that can come, but they can be out in a very simple draw. I translated some of it with AI, I apologize if I'm rambling
I don't care as we'll have to beat all these teams eventually. Just get some experience. If we catch a hot streak, all the better.
No preference. Ime seems to have made adjustments as the season went on. To be the best we got to beat the best. I like our chances as much as any team I suppose.
Making it to the WC Finals is fools gold.. If we are fortunate enough to make it that far, our fanbase and ESPN would swear we're next up.. That's great.. The problem is, the 2-8 seeds are significantly less talented than the no.1 OKC team.. Every year for the next 5 years, we could realistically see a different WCF opponent for OKC to slaughter.. Now if OKC falters to anyone prior to the Finals, ignore everything I posted..
