I don't think anyone was making the argument that he's elite but that we should've drafted him ahead of Usman and Josh. His three-point shot is light years ahead of both of them in addition to his ability to get to the rim (which our 2nd pick in the draft (JG) even struggles to do).

Every time it looks like the Rockets are going to lose, there are some people here who automatically dump on Udoka. They are broken records.

Also, this hasn't been just one game Grimes has done well in. Since he's been given consistent minutes, he's flourished:

    3/17 - Hou: 44 pts
    3/16 - Dal: 28 pts
    3/12 - Tor: 29 pts
    3/10 - Atl: 35 pts
    3/9 - Utah: 25 pts
    3/6 - Bos: 6 pts
    3/4 - Min: 30 pts
    3/3 - Por: 14 pts
    3/1 - GS: 44 pts

Bari gets into a good rhythm and gains his confidence from that play

On the bright side, though, ...we only got about 4 more games left against bad teams...

It's frankly weird the previous teams got rid of him for crappy vets.

Knicks liked him but traded him for Bogdanovic, who Thibs didn't want & didn't play (now out of league)

Detroit had no shooting but wanted veterans so they trade for hardaway Jr

Dallas - in their bizarre post Luca Age movement, trade him for Caleb Martin

Id rather have Grimes than any of those

Grimes is a killer, just hasn't been in the right situation yet. 76ers aren't going to let him get away now. He's a dog and he always has been. Couldn't be happier for him.

Wasted that money on Jalen and Sengun. Sengun is good at scoring and passing when he wants to pass but has shortcomings though - not athletic, ball-hog at times, not a good rebounder or great defender) He was overpaid IMO for the amount of value he brings.

you do know Silas was the coach, right? the fact that Jalen and Sengun got out of that and emerged as good players... Cam thomas and Q might have been sent to russia before they saw their true worth.

Garuba, Josh, tyty.. you never know how good they would have been in another situation. the NBA is where talent goes to die

Agreed. As a UH alum I'm happy for him. I also know how much he works on this game too - which is huge at UH - development. CKS says Grimes basically lives in the gym practicing at the UH gym in the NBA off-season.

Although he is a RFA, the 76ers don't have enough cap space to keep him in the offseason. Teams like the Nets could offer a contract that the 76ers could not afford

grimes seems laterally quicker to me compared to Cam. I could be wrong. And a much better shooter

an nba scrub can’t score 2 40 points game in one season while being traded to a different team the same year

FYI, Corey brewer wasn’t a scrub. The guy had a decent nba career.
