Shoutout to Sengun for staying locked in after getting benched. Made big plays down the stretch to take us home.
"He wasn't happy. You can see it. Came in there and won us the game." - Ime. Think Alpi just woke up on the wrong side of the hamek. After scoring a basket in the third, he ran to the Ref like he was going to lay him out "what the F?" . Never got back on defense. Put the game behind you and stop cursing the refs.
B*tching and moaning after a call is a NBA rite of passage. If Tate is doing it…afraid we’re stuck seeing this from Alpi for the rest of his career.
He was doubled the second he touched the ball from the get go. The Rockets were cold shooting early on, which essentially took away his offensive impact. On defense, it's not like the Sixers weren't hitting 3s at an ungodly rate even when he was out of the game. That said, I don't know what the deals but there was poor communication between Sengun and Green. There was neither a switch nor a hedge, but rather Sengun dropping AND being expected to get back to the popper. I think that's teachable.
Not an Ime type of player. Sad but definitely the next trade piece. Maybe for KD or Booker? Who knows...
Yea, he has lose that constant whining nonsense. Nothing is given or owed to you. Make your money and stop complaining. Luka is the worst at it. Nobody cares, play and win.
I would wager a substantial amount on this: there's a 90% chance Sengun will be gone this offseason. It's highly unusual for an All-Star to receive such treatment, irrespective of what he does on the court.
That “unidentified thing” obviously hurt you so much your single-celled brain advised you to add a grinning smiley to that nonsense you wrote in order to make you look like you’re cheerful or something. I don’t blame you for being so primitive in what you do. Guess I have to put up with your presence as everyone else does.
Defensive rating for last night was 150, the worst of any game in 2 seasons. For comparison, the Lakers game was the highest all year before this game at 130. Again, a damn good metric that doesn't deceive.
I don't think it's anything personal, unfortunately I just think Sengun has issues guarding in isolation
Not in the D&D section he wasn't...... As for Alpi - this is the conundrum with him, the Rockets got throttled with him on the floor last night, got down 20+ points because he can't guard anyone at the 3pt line and Philly was small. So they took him out for almost the entire 2nd half and the team rallied to a tie, with him coming in for the last 6 seconds for the tip in. The issue for the Rockets is, how do you build around a guy that can be so easily taken out of the game? That is their conundrum, and if you do build around him you need shooters - very high % shooters, which we do not have. So, the Rockets have a decision to make, can you build around Sengun? And if you do, lots of roster turnover will need to happen. or one of two things. 1. He gets a solid 3pt shot 2. They trade him and build around a more wide open offense. Will be a very interesting offseason. Kudos to Sengun for staying positive and coming in and tipping in the tying goal, and not sulking on the bench. DD
Does Jokic whine like this? I don't watch a ton of Denver, only when playing us, but I don't think of him as either a flopper or a whiner. Maybe instead of "Baby Jokic" it should be "Big Doncic"?
