Can Sengun, Jalen and Amen work?

No I'm talking excellent rim protector. Gobert, JJJ, previously Brook Lopez, etc with a 3pt shot as well.

I have no faith in a Reid + Sengun big man combo. I've seen what happens to Sengun when we even slightly reduce our POA or wing defense, I know this thing is fragile and any reduction in defense (Jabari a far better defender than Reid) is going to make us fall out of the top 10 defenses. I've seen the Wolves with Randle over Reid and they're just better in every way.

Would much rather give Jabari the chance to raise his 3PT% than to see if Naz Reid can protect the rim. I find that way more likely.

    I’d offer

    Reed
    Cam
Multiple firsts for JJJ and see if they bite. It would kind of allow them to build the team around Morant and Edey.

    JJJ/Adams
    Sengun
    Smith/Eason
    Green/Brooks
    Amen/FVV

As a 9 man rotation next year. Keep the Phoenix pick and it allows you to pick a player that will be cheap for at least four seasons.

The three would not be placed together on purpose…

That said, each has more value to us than other teams. Till that changes we need to keep them.

2 things need to happen. Better high screen and roll defense from Sengun. a consistent 15-18 ft jumper from Amen. They both have shown improvements every year so no reason to think they can't achieve this.

Have you thought of self reflection?

I wasn’t replacing Jabari with Reid, just moving him to SF.

I feel like constantly stating how little you come to Clutchfans--and yet continuing to return to Clutchfans to yet again state that you REALLY don't spend much time on Clutchfans--is a textbook example of a toxic relationship. I don't think you're having fun on this site, and if you're not enjoying it then it's probably time to just say goodbye.

It is possible Amen, Sengun, and Green will work. I like some other options in the short term better.

I worry about the shooting and defense. It would not be a trio that I bet on, but I wouldn't break it up without getting something worthy of breaking it up.

I don't believe the team can achieve higher offense than what the Celtics roster did under Udoka (9th). I think they're probably 15th.

I definitely don't think it can be a top 10 defense. This seems so mediocre to me defensively:

    Reid
    Sengun
Bari (too slow to be guarding best wings full time)
    Green
    Amen

If Sengun is bleeding is defensively at the 4, you must have an elite rim protector. The wolves learned that the hard way with KAT. I'd take note of the lessons on that team. Further if you don't have an excellent rim protector nor an elite wing defender, this formula has failed many many times. We've also then put Amen in a position where his defense is less impactful overall.

Just my opinion but I think we can improve our offense without sacrificing defense if we're spending assets.

I think you are forgetting Yao Ming. To be clear, I dont want us to trade Alpi but just wanted to point that out.

My bad. Still, two guys in 40 years when we lucked into the #1 pick, we had a chance 4 years in a row to get that top pick and it didn't happen, so getting Sengun out of all of that is still something.

Sengun getting is first all-star appearance is awesome but it's not like Amen and Green are far behind in joining him.
