Not bad for a bunch of 35 year olds and JVG having another honeymoon type of situation.

The Rockets are still in pole position but you never know, Norman Powell should be healthy.

Rockets 5 games ahead of clipper = proof that fvv is better for this team vs harden is just straight up stupid.

yes, Hard-on is the better player - until he decides not to be... because eventually u will get fkd over by his self absorbed narcissistic megalomania...

i dont know why people cant see this - or are willing to sell their teams' soul to this sob...

same reason why trash people like the Kardashians are popular i guess...

...and the Rockets were projected to finish 14th. What is your point? Do you watch games?

I love how ya'll resort to the "I'm smarter than you" argument rather than actually making an argument.

Nope, Jesus. That isn't the argument.

The argument is that the Rockets are doing just fine without Harden. They have a long term plan and are sticking with it rather than selling their souls and locking themselves into a massive long-term contract.

However, your argument seems to be that it is a factual statement that the Rockets would have been better with Harden. Wrong, that is an opinion. If that were true, the Clipper would be better.

That's great argument. You are clearly smarter than me so I defer.

I'll just let you talk to Fertita, Stone, and Udoka. They must also be stupid, huh?

They conveniently left off the Portland Trailblazers exit during the Chandler Parsons/Jeremy Lin playoffs.

Huh, you are moving the goal posts?

    Context matters.

You have to rewind 2 years ago, did it make sense to sign FVV to that contract, or sign Harden to a 4,5,6 year mega deal.

So in reflecting back at that decision, are the Rockets currently better off with FVV than with Harden. I think the Rockets are just fine with where they are at, in the middle of "Stage 2" rebuild with FVV's contract/production versus Harden's contract would have been versus his production.

If you are asking yourself the question, in 2025, who is the better player ...you are asking an irrelevant question.

Who cares if Harden is better than FVV today?

It's a team option for next season.

They can decline the option and be out of the contract.

Harden has a player option next year. Why would he opt out?

And even if he did, why would we sign a one year deal with the Rockets? The reason he didn't sign last time is cause the Rockets didn't want him on a 4 year mega contract. Why would that change now?

James Harden NBA Salary | HoopsHype

MOST people in this thread are arguing that the Rockets should never have signed FVV because Harden is obviously the better player. I haven't heard anyone arguing that the Rockets, this summer, should dump the FVV contract and sign Harden instead.

If that is the conversation you are having, well isn't that special.

Then what are you arguing about? Cause you said
"and yes. . . .. Rockets would be better with Harden"

What is the point of saying that?

The Rockets would also be better with Jokic and SGA.

People such as yourself keep saying the Rockets would be better with Harden but that is an irrelevant point. The ONLY point worth discussing is was it a mistake to sign FVV vs Harden 2 years ago or maybe the Rockets should sign Harden 2 years from now. But today? Who cares about right now. It's like the dudes that make unrealistic trade proposals. Who cares?

Sounds like you are just being snarky and argumentative.
