    When Amen comes back?

We have 16 games remaining and it appears we are going to be anywhere from a #2 Seed - #5 Seed, with a difficult stretch of Lakers, GSW and Denver coming up the latter part of the season. I think Ime needs to start defining his lineup.

    I liked the lineup last night of;
    C - Sengun
    PF - Tari
    SF - Dillon
    SG - Jalen
    PG - FVV

However, when Amen was the PG, I thought the team was better defensively and also, I thought he and Jalen started to gell. Another point is, I think Jabari is your best interior defender.

Since Amen is the backup PG too, do you bring Amen and Jabari, your two best defenders, off the bench?

Whenever anyone got injured this season, Udoka said “next man up”. Every single time.

When Amen went down, Udoka told Vanessa: “He can’t be replaced by one player, multiple guys will have to step up”.

That should give you an idea of how likely it is that we won’t start Amen. I don’t think he ever comes off the bench again for the rest of his career.

Absolutely no chance Amen goes back to the bench (aside from maybe a couple of ramp up games). I’d bet good money the lineup will be FVV / Green / Brooks / Amen / Sengun when Amen returns

I don't know who should be out, but clearly Tari will be back on the bench when Amen comes back.

    If I'm going to bet.

    It's

    FVV
    Jalen
    Dillon
    Amen
    Alpi

I kinda want to replace Brooks with Bari due to length but Brooks has been so consistent on offense it's hard to pull him from the starting line up.

Tari is doing a great job. I know Dillon and FVV are Ime's sons so it's a tough choice.

FVV has been playing at a much faster pace than his old regular walk it down self. Someone must've said something.

Dillon has deserved his minutes and starting role. He's shockingly one of our most consistent offensive players. He plays really well off of the gravity of his like Green and Alpi.

I say lets go ahead and move Fred to his eventual role, 6th man. Doesn't mean he still can't get starters minutes.

Amen is probably our most consequential player. He’s gonna start and probably in the dunkers spot, where he’s had so much success. Bari and Tari will come off the bench. I think this is the rotation the rest of the season and in the playoffs. Holliday and Steveo will figure in as well. That’s the 9-man.

It's weird because the starting lineup with Amen has been really bad. It's our worst lineup with major minutes. I don't really know what to make of it.

Amen will take Tari’s position, which was Bari’s to begin with. Not sure if it’s the 5 to go with for short-term success (spacing concerns).

He’s been crowned with the up and coming superstar label already. There is no going back to bench for him.

    FVV
    Thompson
    Brooks
    Eason
    Sengun

Is the 5 I'd focus on,

The lineup I listed above is our highest net rating lineup, but of course it's had very limited minutes (41).

Although swapping Eason for Smith, or Jeff Green is our next 2 highest net rating lineups. 125 minutes between those 3 lineups, all featuring Amen with the starters short of Jalen.

FVV struggles to create his own shot now at this stage in his career. Amen is bad for spacing which means it'll make Fred even worse and you removed the Rockets highest gravity player from the line up.

The spacing for that line up would be atrocious. Like at least replace Tari with Bari dude. You want the entire opposing defense just to take turns making sure they avoid 3 second violations?

Amen is my favorite player but I think he needs to come off the bench for remainder of year / playoffs. Finish the games over Bari or Tari though

I think it hits teams harder and allows him to do more

I hate the spacing with Amen and Sengun, but I just don’t see an alternative given the current roster. My hope is that Fred and Jalen have their best shooting down the stretch and Dillon stays hot. Hopefully that will be enough to offset the lack of shooting from Sengun & Amen and keep us competitive…until we can reconfigure the roster this offseason.

    It will be...

    FVV
    JG
    Brooks
    Amen
    Sengun

    Bank on it.
