No, you can't, the US government just doesn't care enough to mess with you, so you can get away with saying most things as long as you don't act on 'em. But if they wanted to, they could certainly bring you in for questioning, just for you saying that you agree with the enemy on something.

I think that's pretty terrible. Imagine if the Biden admin thought it OK to bring in people who expressed agreement with Putin/Russia on the Ukraine conflict on a college campus. I know I wouldn't be OK with that.

The US is not at war with Russia, nor does it consider the Russian government to be a terrorist organization. So you're comparing apples and oranges.

There are scant details on what exactly he was engaged in and what he specifically did during the protest. But he was apparently arrested on account of his speech and that it was deemed to be “aligned” with Hamas. This is clearly going in the wrong direction when it comes to our way of life as far as free speech.

    Yes.

Next admin we should label any gaslighting attempts to defend MAGA fascists as terroristic so you can have a good time being labeled a terrorist.

I genuinely don't think you understand the can of worms you are defending. You do not know what Pandora's box you are unlocking .

People remember their suffering and if they ever get power they will **** you up with the same tools you defended.

Is the US at war with Hamas? No.

Russia has been considered an adversarial state, heavily sanctioned, by the US. We’ve spent many billions of dollars waging a proxy war against them. There was a bipartisan resolution to formally designate it a sponsor of terrorism, which it very easily could have qualified for, but the Biden administration elected not to do that. But if they did, does that then mean that a non-citizen can be whisked away for questioning if they express a pro-Russian sentiment? What do you think?

Trump sadly wants to make him the sacrificial lamb.

Buuuut he might be making him a martyr instead.
Sans death. Can't think of the proper word

I think if you come to a country, and you disrupt that country, you run the risk of being deported.

If you went in someone else's country and started trying to disrupt matters, you would be kicked out.

You don't have all the rights that a citizen has.....he could have become one....

Also please explain to me why the Constitution explicitly differentiate between "peoples " and " citizens"?

Well they are cancelling his Green card, he is here by the Grace of this country, it can be cancelled at any time for any reason, he should know that.....

I am in favor of giving Immigrants 3 years to gain citizenship and giving them a stipend when they do......unfettered immigration can be as bad for the country as revolution.

Actually you cannot revoke someone's green card for any reason, especially if that reason involves speech. Why do you hate the Constitution so much?

Its not, but the US government considers Hamas to be a terrorist organization. There's nothing official about the Russians in that sense, expect for sanctions so therefore you as an American can't join the Russian forces, that would be considered working against the US government interests, but you can join the Ukrainian forces. Kinda like how you can join the Israeli forces but not their enemy. As far as opinion goes, you can be pro Russian if you want, but you can't be pro Hamas because they're officially considered the enemy of the US. Russians are not considered the enemy of the States, if they were, the same rule would apply, you wouldn't be able to be pro Russian.

Show me a non-terroristic way to express that Israel is committing a genocide in Gaza?

Whatever the law says regarding the Green card - I would not usurp it.

It will go to court......and if the courts decide they can't do that, I am fine with it.....but in this climate, people should be careful Trump is not following the constitution, or the laws, and if you aren't a citizen, you don't have the same rights.

I'm actually informing you what the law is. Constitutionally you cannot change someone's status based on their speech.

"It will go to the courts".

That's good news. I'm sure his 9 month pregnant wife is happy about it. That PTSD of her husband being bagged by a fascist paramilitary ICE unit and not explaining what law he broke and transporting him to a Lousinia detention center is okay now if you tell her there will be a court date for a bad faith political detention of a human for speech.

Thanks for informing me that a court exists. You are a very intelligent person. I learn a lot from you.
