KD is one of the greatest players of all time and still playing at an elite level. Very seldom is someone else not making him look like the best player on the team.
I actually like how the standings are right now. If the Rockets can keep winning and stay ahead of the Warriors, the Warriors will play the Lakers in the first round and the league will have to decide which golden boy they want to win. If the Rockets catch Memphis, GS is moving up for sure because they are not losing with their weak schedule. Rockets and GS in the first round is worst case scenario because that would either be a sweep or one win game at best. I want someone else to knock them out and avoid them at all cost.
In a 2 point game, KD and Booker log 41 and 40 minutes again, while the opposing Grizzles had no one play over 34 minutes. #4 and #5 in MPG in the league. The other interesting thing is Thibs and the Knicks have 3 players in the top 6 in MPG played, makes you wonder if the Knicks will run out of steam in the playoffs or have players injured that ends up ending their season.
They’re definitely the best matchup for Houston out of GSW, Denver, Lakers, and Memphis of all teams are healthy. Unless we can get the 2 seed back Realistically GSW looks like the weakest of the bunch but they jsut have Ime’s number
They have been playing KD and Booker for 40 minutes a night for at least the last 10 games... that's going to add up.....
If the Suns had that mentality and the ability to "play that harder and angrier" after losses, they wouldn't be 30-35 with the toughest remaining schedule.
As long as Nico Harrison is the Dallas GM, the best future pick the Rockets have is the 2029 Dallas pick swap. You know Morey would have traded that for a backup PG or no D, shoots 3 wing by now.
I hope that the errors are minimal. If we just keep pinning those Ls on the Suns the group will get Cancuned in a couple of weeks. I say by the end of the month they quit completely. What's worse than trading Durant if you are the Suns? Trading a HURT Durant because you ran him into the ground.
Booker and KD both averaging about 40mpg lately--both of them know at this point that their team is going nowhere. Even making the play-in is a very long shot for them at this point. I wouldn't be surprised to see them check out completely. Their schedule is pretty insane going forward too. They could end up losing damn near every remaining game.
I hope you are right but it could also just as easily be an injury. Obviously I’m not rooting for that but playing vets heavy minutes late in the season is tempting fate. honestly I think folks are forgetting that OKC can swoop in and get KD if they want. San Antonio also has a ton of valuable picks (they gave up very little for Fox). And while Houston is certainly in the mix, I suspect we’ll have to overpay to get him.
