lulz … us?? how bout compared to 5yrs ago? how about relative to other whiny fanbases? Spoiler: sauce
Yeah, they wouldn't be putting us there if they read all the posts here with how much crying goes on about stupid stuff.
im joyful cus the nba finally got good in both conferences. rox finally has real competition for once
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!! Finally able to use this word in its proper context!! Go Rockets!!! ....... ....... .......
I would say I’m more on the optimistic scale or somewhat happy because at least we’re finally gonna be having playoff games at TC again…I’ll be in the building for sure I wish we could just fast-forward through the rest of this regular season, because I can’t wait to see how our young players perform in a playoff setting
There are some fans that have unrealistic expectations at this point IMO but we will see. The Rockets have played hard - overall well, have a very good coaching staff and culture.
I think the real joyful ones are the ones that rig the game and the league. The perpetuity of joy and manipulation.
I actually am tremendously joyful. I remember how hopelessly bad we were after the Harden trade, and how hard was to watch the games knowing your team is probably going to lose. The Silas era was a dark one, and the org managed to turn things around at the right time. We could argue about what could've been done differently for most of their moves, but the end result is still a great young team and a future contender. Despite all the flaws and injuries, the team still overachieved when you look at the season overall. Amen is becoming a monster, Alpi seems to be back to his old dancing self, and Jalen got better (still no leap). Tari, if healthy, is another difference maker. All those guys have still so much room to grow and have a no-nonsense type of coach to guide them through that growth. How can I not be happy seeing them drop triple-doubles, leading comebacks and almost taking over games, and they're still on their rookie contracts? Imagine how good are they going to be at age 26-27, with more experience and seasoning. I trust Ime to lead this team to the next level, and I can't wait for the playoffs to see what our youngsters are made of. This is just the beginning of our era.
I think Somewhat happy reflects good my impression from our current situation. Last year we showed huge improvement from the Silas era, and I felt optimistic. This year we kept improving, especially on the defensive side, but our shooting, from all ranges is still catastrophic. It’s hard to watch our offense when the game is in low pace. If our shots got inside on an average level, then I would definitely be joyful with our young Rockets. But seeing our guys missing all these free looks, it’s just hard to watch. If we do manage to secure a top-6 playoff spot, and we will have a decent performance in the playoffs, maybe I’ll upgrade to joyful.
It's definitely somewhat happy I see improvement but I still see dumb **** Jalen turnovers, Sengun free throws, Jabari bricking 3s, Eason momentum killing fouls, FVV killing shot clock. Cam pouting, Holiday green light Luckily most can be fixed. Being 40-25 is still impressive for this group Honestly our 3 most consistent best players have been Amen Thompson, Dillon Brooks & Steven Adams One thing for sure I can't question is the coaching. This team plays hard every night.
I'm surprised at our record despite so many shortcomings of all of our players. So I am somewhat happy, but I wish we had a true star like other young teams
Yes, because when you don't have expectations, you dont feel bad about failures and you experience joy when things go well. Contrast this to when a team is expected to contend, where even a 5-point win against a bad feels like a loss because you expected a blowout. And that when you lose in game 7, you get to feel a year worth of your time and involvement just went up in smoke
