Totally would do a 3 year deal on Daniels.

    3 years, $24M

    $7M, $8M, $9M

    2nd year = TO
    3rd year = PO

    $9M SB

    $13M gtd

In free agency I'd sign Jedrick Wills and Cody Ford to play RG and cut Shaq Mason. Resign Kendrick Green. Id then draft Donovan Jackson (1st rounder) and Logan Brown (6th or 7th) to develop into a swing tackle after Fisher replaces Howard in a season.

    LT Tunsil/Wills/Fisher
    LG Jackson/Green
    C Scruggs/Patterson
    RG Wills/Ford
    RT Howard/Fisher

    Practice squad Logan Brown

Wow, good stuff, I doubt Willis would sign here without a guarantee of starting. How much do you think it would cost to bring in Ford/Willis? I'm not high on Ford.

WTF every really knows but my hope would be that they could sign all 3 for close to the money the Texans would save by cutting Mason. I think Wills value is particulary low right now and you would sell him on the chance to rehab his value similar to Mekhi Becton did in Philly. You could also designate him as the heir apparent to Tunsil if/when the Texans can no longer afford that cap hit.

Both of these guys are buy low moves. Both demonstrated abilities sufficient to be drafted in the 1st (Wills) or 2nd (Ford) in the not terribly distant past (2019 and 2020). Its not the perfect solution to our problems at OL but it is a cost effective one I think,

I could see this happening with Willis, I bet he could move inside to OG.

He's an Alabama guy so I would think Meco has the intel on him and his makeup. Cleveland moved him from RT to LT after they picked him and he was not terrible there. He was hurt this season and had some bad press coming from some poorly worded statements to the press. I think moving back to the right side and inside to OG (which seems like it better suits his frame) could see him rehab his image and improve his value. He's only 25 so he has time to make the money back he's lost the last season or 2.

To be clear I dont see anybody offerring him a truckload of money or guaranteeing a starting spot at the moment (but again, who knows?)

I like this and think he could be effective at either OG spot.

Nick is taking a big risk with the o-line, it's either gonna pay off or we will have an "Andrew Luck" situation

Banks is going to be a very good LT for a long time.

Tytus Howard at least deserves the benefit of the doubt, he’s a good player and might serve as a good stopgap until the Texans develop or get lucky in the draft and take a franchise level left tackle.

I’ve been rooting for Howard to get good for a few years. Now that he is consistently good, we need him to be vinsitebecime consistently elite…
