I don't see how anyone is excited about Tytus and Fisher together.... but it is Texans social media and there are people out there saying as much. At least Ryans is willing to pull the bandage off rather than letting it sit and fester.
I doubt Tytus is here very much longer. 2025 is likely his last season here. Nick is just trying to rebuild the OL and base on the past few seasons, how can you be upset with that?
Fisher only had 44 snaps at LT last year - I'd think they will attempt to see if Fisher is up for the task. If not - I'd assume Tytus is the guy. Regardless, get the middle right and it's probably best to look at tape of what the Rams did on offense to get any idea of what to expect (us fans have to pray things look drastically different).
He used to deepthroat the Texans FO when Bootychin was at the helm so I never listened to him... I agree tho, lately he's been dogging the players and personnel decisions.. It was refreshing for a minute but it's been overkill now
I am a fan of Seth Payne because he can be critical without being unlistenable. He doesn't take himself too seriously, but backs up his criticism with reason.

Tunsil, to be clear, is well-liked in the Texans’ building. That said, he isn’t a tone-setter, and the offensive line room in Houston last year went the wrong way, becoming borderline toxic, which adds context to the trade of Kenyon Green and the release of Shaq Mason. That’s part of why the Texans figured they probably wouldn’t give him a third top-of-the-market extension in 2026 after having paid him in ’20 (three years, $66 million) and again in ’23 (three years, $75 million). So with his 31st birthday in August, Houston spent the past few weeks quietly measuring trade interest in Tunsil, and eventually found the right deal—the price they received for the 10-year vet is roughly the equivalent of a late first-round pick in the form of the aforementioned swap of the tackle and a fourth-round pick for a third- and seventh- round selections this year, and second- and fourth-rounders in ’26. That gives them resources to find Tunsil’s replacement, if it’s not someone on the roster such as Tytus Howard or Blake Fisher. Will they be able to get a suitable one? How this trade looks in five years rides on it. And while we’re on the big picture, there’s an element of that in this move for the Texans. DeMeco Ryans has kind of makeup he wants on his defense now, with young stars such as Will Anderson Jr. and Derek Stingley Jr. carrying the flag. He’s still trying to find it on offense, and the hope is turning over the roster some on that side—and finding new leaders—helps. That, by the way, doesn’t mean the Commanders are barking up the wrong tree here. Just as the Texans are betting on their ability to find new pieces for their line, Washington is gambling on its culture with this move, and that putting Tunsil in a group with guys such as Daniels and McLaurin will get the best out of him. Remember, the sorts of questions that exist here on Tunsil were once there on Trent Williams. Peters was part of the group that landed him as a result in San Francisco five years ago, and we know how that turned out.
Terrible comparison. More like the Tmac of the nfl. A naturally talented guy who never worked to improve himself. And has never contributed to winning anything. Tunsil’s drive killing penalties were absolutely egregious. I don’t care if his raw numbers in pass blocking were ok, his carelessness when it mattered was inexcusable for a supposed elite lineman. Never took accountability for the line, was never a real leader of the line. I don’t think I’ve ever disliked such a talented player so much, in any sport. I think they sign an average LT free agent and draft one. Tytus can be used across the line for another year. He’s ok/serviceable. Scruggs and Patterson stink too. Fisher can fill in one of the holes for now (idk which one). I would happily draft 5 offensive lineman in this draft…and 1 receiver.
We gave up 2 first, the 2nd was for Kenny stills and that was 2019!! Laremy was like 25yrs old and a top tackle.. not even in the same ballpark comparison.
That 2nd for Kenny fcking Stills was more atrocious than the 2 1st for Tunsil....eventhough at the time Tunsil himself wasn't worth 2 1st... Damn do I abhor BoB at the time...
