Out of curiosity, if you can exchange FVV for Curry or Lillard or Halliburton or Tyler Heero you are saying no to all this because you truly believe FVV is better than all of them

Harden with multiple clutch shots while dropping 29, 9, and 11

has also only missed 4 games this season while Fred has missed 18 and counting

Not getting Harden was a big mistake.

Experience, playmaking, scoring, even leadership believe it our not would of been perfect for this team..and heading to the post seasons andharden wanting a ring and him potentially getting one in his city…sheesh that’s nasty

If the team had clairvoyance, they would have had more than 2 championships by now.

I adore James Harden. Harden/Alperen pick and roll would feed families...

(I still prefer Fred for this team...)

Curry and Lillard were never on the table. Strawman argument. Let's stay on topic.

I've acknowledged, multiple times, that Harden is better than FVV.

This is a great example of how context matters:
    1. Team culture was bad under Silas
    2. Team brought in Udoka to fix culture. He is a defense/hustle coach.
    3. New goal is to develop the young players.
    4. Harden self-identified as "I am the system". He's a win now player, not develop a young team kinda guy.
    5. When Harden leaves, he's leaves teams in shambles.
    6. Harden only has a couple good years left.

Ask yourself, how would Harden behave if Udoka benched him for not playing defense? How would the rest of the team respond when James "I am the system" Harden throws a temper tantrum in the locker room?

Now it's blaming injuries? You predicted that a 35yo Harden would be healthy in March while the 31yo FVV would not? Weak sauce. It's sports. Ish happens. As of today, the Rockets are doing better than expected, without Harden.

A bunch of nonsense hypotheticals to sht on Harden. Man has shown he's can play for the team and play defense.

Folks get triggered that Harden likes to dribble too much but he is a passing maestro and knows how to set folks up.
Man kept the Clippers afloat long enough for kawhi to get back.

Harden would have taken us to the next level while playing defense. Clippers has a top 5 defense right now.

We overpaid for an inferior player. Man cant even put up Hardens numbers or take over game when needed. Its quite ridiculous folks are still doubling down on fvv being better for our team than Harden.

I love how you diss my hypothetical with one of your own. lol. How do you know Harden "would have taken us to the next level?"

You know what is not hypothetical? The Rockets have had a better record than the Clippers all season. And the Clippers are not "top 5" right now. They sit in 8th place. Meanwhile, the Rockets are 1 game out of 3rd place with the easiest remaining schedule in the league.

Harden is the greatest Rocket of all time, *that never led the team to a championship. That's not a diss, just a fact.

I would love to have James finish his career here as a 6th man for this young squad, but he has a PO next year for 36m that he isnt exercising. He would be too expensive at that salary for that role here. At best we are talking about his age 37 season, 2 years from now.

    Not hate.

    Two things can be true.
    The Harden era was amazing.
    The Harden era is over.

If folks are down to grab kd, I rather we run it back with Harden. Playmaking is sorely lacking right now and fvv aint it

I truly will never understand how people
Hate Harden for not beating a team with 4 hall of famers in their prime
When his second best player went down to injury.
Not to mention undisputed referee bias.

Me either. I get it that the relationship ended sour in the end has left a bad taste in some people’s mouths. But the man gave it his all and was simply amazing. He deserves more appreciation than hate.

tough loss for the clippers especially for playoff-playin seeding

its hard to get a rythm when kawhi basically chooses when he wants to play without warning

Harden should be able to be very effective until he is 40. The way the modern NBA is w fouls and defense, I think we will see guys play a bit longer. CP3, Lebron, KD, Steph. Jeff Green is still effective, and he is not even in that elite group, we are seeing more players play longer.

I don't hate Harden but he repeatedly failed.

    1. He choked in the Playoffs against the Spurs
    2. He couldn't bring us home in game 7 against the Warriors, it's not a failure, but he could have pulled a epic Playoff Jimmy Butler performance for one single game which would have changed his legacy forever)
    3. He forced Morey to trade for Westbrook, which was a massive mistake
    4. Then forced his way out of Houston because of the mistake that he forced

What would have happened if we got Harden instead. We'd be a lot better in the regular season, which would have created higher expectations for the playoffs, and then we would lose because Harden has proven that he's not dependable as a star player in the playoffs.
