Chartenstein is not really two bigs. it's two talls to be sure, but the Chet-ster is too skinny to be a true big.
Agreed! This double big lineup is good now but during the off season, it's going to pose questions during the Summer. Do you sign Jabari now or wait on him to define his position? Or is Sengun the long term answer at PF rather than at center? It's going to be interesting
Criticize when appropriate but give credit to Ime when he does well. Kudos to managing to results. Winning culture is great for the young guys
if it comes down to Bari or Sengun, I am keeping Bari. Sengun brings more in trade, and Bari plays much better defense and outside shooting. DD
I don’t think that’s out of the question again this year. To be clear though, no one is stopping Jokic so didn’t necessarily mean they were the reason.
Seems a bit more match up dependent if we go to it significantly but it certainly provides a boost to our current strengths of rebounding and defense. Adams was a super role player in his prime. He's definitely more physically limited now but he still knows how to play bball and navigate.
That's all Sengun needed, frontcourt help. Now he's able to contest on the perimeter because someone is in the paint that can do something. Adams looks more mobile .
One thing the double big lineup is showing is that the team that Sengun as part-time PF during games is not out of the question on defense. And there are two centers who can shoot available this offseason in Myles Turner and Naz Reid. If the Rockets aren't going star hunting, these are probably two of the best available support players the Rockets can pick up who also fit their timeline.
I love Sengun, and the fact that he's the first Rocket in the new era to make the All Star team is great but from Stone's position he needs to ask the question as well if building around Sengun is also a good idea?? I think Sengun is a guy where if you are going to build around him, you do have to commit to putting a team around him that makes sense kind of like how Pau was also a big man that needed some care around the team he has around him as great as he was. The question of Sengun or no Sengun is a big one.
Bari is too soft to be a PF, his natural position has always been SF as a spot up shooter with minimal dribbling possible.
I think you are right, but something tells me that Rockets might be better off going the other way. Maybe it's your proven success in assessing player qualities, I don't know. Anyhow, I doubt it'll come to that, so nothing to worry.
This is a no brainer you sign Jabari to an affordable deal loke 20-30M and then delay one more year or you defer to RFA. You dont let assets walk for nothing.
Are yall implying that Adams be the starting center coming off the offseason? If so, CFs had finally lost its collective damn mind ...
