Stroud & Anderson are going into their 3rd year. 2025 3rd year 2026 4th year 2027 Pick up 5th year option 2028 Extension kicks in Stingley 2025 4th year 2026 Pick up 5th year option 2027 Extension kicks in Hunter is going into his last year. Not saying he’s washed, not by a long shot, but do you want to pay for his age 32-&-beyond seasons. Nico still under contract for 3 more years. Talking about another 3/4 years … Texans media in unison: “wE CaN’T PaY EvErYoNe” Eagles are paying their QB, highest paid RB, TWO $25M WRs, paying TE, 3 OL making $20M or more, paying an edge rusher $17M, just paid Zack Baun, (and up until their release this past week, were paying two CBs in Slay and Bradberry) and yes, they too will have to pay Cam Jurgens, Tyler Steen, Jordan Davis, Jalen Carter, Quinyon Mitchell, Nolan Smith, Cooper DeJean… “wE CaN’T PaY EvErYoNe” Better start saving now! We’re gonna have to pay the 25th pick in 5 years!
However Howie Roseman is structuring those contracts, Caserio needs to be studying that. Eagles did lose a LB and DT but they draft the Front 7 so well that their backups are always ready to be starters.
I can almost guarantee Caserio is waiting for some guard to fall to the second wave of FAs so he can get one for cheap.
Still quite a few options available. Like someone mentioned, Jenkins or Zeitler and I'd be happy. Draft one or two more G/T and we could fix our oline just like that.
Time will tell if it works out for either but… Vikings C Ryan Kelly (2 years, $18M) G Will Fries (5 years, $88M) DT Jonathan Allen (3 years, $60M) DT Javon Hargrave Bears G Joe Thuney G Jonah Jackson C Drew Dalman (3 years, $42M) DT Grady Jarrett (3 years, $43.5M) DE Dayo Odeyingbo (3 years, $48M)
I could see it playing out as signing a guy to a prove it deal while drafting a guy that’ll basically sit for a year and replace him.
Agree, that's why I like Zeitler for that approach. Dude is an old man strong that can help bring that bouncer mentality to OL room. But either of these guys could work as well. I'm curious why CHI didn't resign Teven Jenkins? I didn't see him play, but he seems to be a solid LG option.
I would have been happy getting a 7th round pick for Green, but def glad about this trade. CJ does talk his stuff with players, just fyi haha.
