Once again I want to thank Stack for the great time and hooking us up. I met kpsta who is a totally cool guy and enjoyed hanging out with him and his friends from work. I also met Miguel and his buddy and while I didnt spend a lot of time hanging out with him, he seemed like a great guy. Thanks everyone and I look forward to the Astros whoopin' some ass tomorrow and getting us to the World Series!!!
I met MB and akperez up there. Tough loss...but we got the ROCKET going tomorrow. Khalil, sorry I didn't catch you after the game, I was just so f'n bummed that we lost on a Miceli teeball HR. Also, I dunno if it was all of your waitstaff, but the girl working at the tables in the front was really getting into the game too. When Baggy got that RBI in the 9th, she was high fiving me, my buddy, and everyone around the bar. I'm contempating going out there again tomorrow. My friend doesn't want to...so he can stay home. I'm prepared to be walking the streets of downtown at 2am celebrating our first World Series ever.
Oops, I forgot. Master Baiter, kpsta (I think), and akperez, nice meeting you guys, if only for a few moments. It's kinda nice seeing the face behind the posts. Anyway, I still got a little spare cash left, so more than likely I'm going up there tomorrow again. What's the parking like again? If it's not too bad, I'm just gonna go park up there...the train ride is too freaking long during night time. Plus I can't listen to the radio or anything. Anyway, GO STROS! GO ROCKET!
When I went up there last Saturday I parked in the lot right next to Kim Son, on Milam. It was only $2.50 and about a 5 minute walk to Live.
DAMNIT this sounds fun. I work over on Mckinney and Smith, it's just a small walk, but I work til 9pm, that sucks ass.
Come down for the final few innings! ok, who all is going? I'm going tomorrow, friendless, cause he says that we lost cause I took him to Live. r****d. Anyway...let's see if I can luck out for the 3rd time in a row and get a seat in the front tables.
I was actually considering starting a whole new "Thanks to Khalil" thread, but I don't want to jinx the Astros... the season is not over yet. Maybe I will after we win the whole thing... It was really cool to meet MB, Miguel, and Khalil... and anyone else that I may have missed. We really have a great community here at CF.net and it's always good to be able to meet the people behind the posts. Khalil- you run a great place, and I'm glad I could bring a good-sized group out from work early to watch the game. The waitresses were great, took good care of all of us-- all while being totally into the game themselves... always good to see that. Aside from that smug dork with the cigar that was rooting for the Cards (um... hope he's not a friend of yours... hehe...), the other patrons were all pretty nice too. Hope you dindn't give that guy any drink specials... For anyone who hasn't already made plans for the game, I really recommend heading to Live Sports Cafe. I won't be able to make it out there tonight, but I'll definitely be back another night during the Astros' cakewalk through the World Series.
It was nice to meet you too Miguel. MB I didn't get to meet you.....but Khalil pointed you out. I had a great time (despite the outcome ). And thanks Khalil (I'll thank you again after we win)......I'm bummed I didn't come in sooner being your neighbor and all. I'll definitely come in more often now. You have a great place and you seem like a nice guy

We're gonna tailgate outside of Live tonight. On Monday, in that parking lot next to Stack's place, people had brought coolers of beer and were watching on the building where they were projecting the game. Anyone interested in joining us? We're gonna go park one of our cars over there this afternoon sometime. If we can coordinate a time, we can get a few cars next to each other and have us a big CC.net party!
I'll try to make it out to your tailgate party. I got pretty blitzed after we lost, and am still feeling the effects.
I will be there about 5 to help setup for the game and make sure things run smooth. Then i am going to party crazy after the game. So i will see most of you guys there. or at least in the parking lot going crazy =)
