I thought the trade for Kirk was a ‘26 7th, but I could be mistaken

Not ours. It was the rams 7th round pick we got when we traded ben skowronik

1-5 we have our own picks.

6th Rounder went to Rams in Ben Skowronek trade

I believe 7th rounder was swapped with Vikings in Cam Akers trade. This is the tricky pick.

Added Commanders 2nd and 4th rounder.

Houston → LA Rams. Houston traded a sixth-round selection to the LA Rams in exchange for WR Ben Skowronek and a seventh-round selection.

Minnesota → Houston (PD). Minnesota traded a conditional sixth-round selection to the Houston in exchange for RB Cam Akers and a conditional seventh-round selection.

So, both 7ths and our 6th are gone like you said. We should still have this conditional 6th rounder from the Vikings? And it looks like we should still have this 7th from the 49ers.

San Francisco → Houston. San Francisco traded a seventh-round selection to Houston in exchange for DT Khalil Davis.

    So, #1-7 plus the extra 2nd & 4th, I think.

I really like Tate Ratledge and Ozzy in the third. Definitely sleepers for me.

Definitely would love to see us load up on offensive linemen in the first 3 rounds to add a worthy starter or 2, and depth. Stroud needs the best offensive line we can give him, and Mixon will do better as well if we can make better holes for him. I'd rather see us add the wide receivers and other players afterwards. My fear is DeMeco wanting to add another defensive player in the first 3 rounds, instead of an offensive lineman.

Can eliminate Safety, DT and Edge from the mock simulators now

With our signings so far, I think focus is now OL, WR, TE and RB. Although we could still use another playmaker at LB.

Of those first 3 priorities, we can take best available and fill in through rounds 2-3. IOL is looking like best available at 25, unless one of top TEs slides or we really like one of the WRs.

Would not be surprised if we don't draft TE (or go UDFA / Day 3 pick)

I would pick him in the 2nd as a LG. He can play anywhere on the OL. If you think he can play LT and I've got to study him more, that would be great, Caserio could draft Loveland at 1-25, Nelson 2-58 and Milum 3-79. You would see a much tougher OL that would have the attitude the Texans OL has been missing since the Alex Gibbs days.

How does Nelson compare to say Banks?
