making 1 of 2 FT’s is not efficient. This means 1 pt per possession or scoring opportunity. Opposite of efficient

I didn't say making FTs was not important. Just not as important as getting FTs.

If Player A shoots nothing but FT at 70% (below average), and Player B shoots nothing but 3pt shots at 40% (elite), Player A will be the more efficient shooter.

FTA rate and OReb rate kept our offense afloat despite our horrid shooting.

Fun efficiency stat: By TS added (basically how many points above average your TS provided), the rockets have 5 of the bottom 35 min the league outa the 551 eligible players. Brooks is 516th, reed/alpi/jalen are 529-531 (remarkable for reed to be on there with how few minutes he's played) and fred at 539th. Pretty brutal.

Stupid Ime's poor free throw play calls are the reason for this!

Our free throw shooting would be so much better if it weren't for him!

Other teams shoot free throws so much better because of better coaching. It has nothing to do with the talent of the players.

But we are #1 at free throw DEFENSE. Coaching free throws is real. Ime is clearly a defense only coach. :D

The Ben Sullivan hire has not helped. The Rockets haven’t improved their shooting at all.

Guess Jalen Green is the only improved FT shooter.

Sengun sets a poor example with his FT shooting. If he starts missing, the rest of the team starts missing like it's the norm. I laughed when he airballed that must-make free throw at the end of the Nuggets game.

I cannot remember in my days as a fan that a rockets team was actually a good FT shooting team, though in 17-18 we probably were. Absolutely atrocious.

Fire the fee throw coach! I don’t know which of our 14 coaches that is. But, he must go.

Golden State played very good free throw defense. Give them some credit.

Could shoot 1,000 free throws, hell 5,000. Doesn’t matter. Gotta make them in the game. You don’t think they practice FT shooting? Be for real.

    Nerves, fatigue, whatever.

This team has so many issues not just free throws. We may have caught every team off-guard with how hard we played in the regular season but it's the playoffs that actually matter, especially when we know the West seedings are all over the play filled with fake lower seeds.

We're literally in the shooting era but somehow our team is built to play like the 80s, full of chuckers and brickers. Warriors have shown you can field a top defense while having 3pt shooting, Stone has not built a good team like many here may suggest otherwise.

Free throws are going to kill the season. That's so impossibly pathetic and sad! Honestly, you shoot that bad you really don't deserve to win.

We don't take shooting seriously. I've seen our practices, I've seen what they do.

Have you ever heard any of our players staying late or coming in early for shots?
