Just - some of these people like Miller are not fit to make decisions that impact other people’s lives.

I'm certain that this is the result of someone searching for the word "gay" and removing all of that content without actually reviewing it, which is dumb. As you've pointed out, there are uses of the word (or name) "gay" that are not references to homosexuality and should not be removed. Probably an error.

Massie told a story about this when he was a local commissioner in Kentucky. He sent out a notice that he was disconnecting all phone lines unless told they were in use. He had one false positive that was shut off when it shouldn't, but otherwise saved a ton of money shutting down unused lines. Same idea here getting rid of all this wasteful DEI garbage.

Either this is malicious compliance (in which case fire the malcontents involved), or a fixable mistake.

When there is so much unmanageable rot in the system, sometimes the best thing is to shut it all down and then figure out what to bring back.

I have no idea what the motivation was behind the person who did it. I can, therefore, not offer any justification or explanation for the removal (or lack of removal) of the content. In short - I dunno.
