Again context is needed. Apparently the US has a surplus in dairy trade with Canada.also those tariffs only kick in if it goes over a certain quota. These are called anti dumping measures. Almost every trade agreements have them

Kemah, your much closer to Canada then most of us, what are they saying? Canada always seemed to me as an extension of the USA, not in a we own them kind of way, but were so similar and we have always had each other's back, these tariffs do nothing but piss everyone off, IMO its not how you treat your friends who you share a border with.

I'm 3.5 hours from Montreal. Sadly I mostly encounter folks from Canada on what we call the Northway. Or I-87. You don't really think Trump cares about forests do you? Do you think that guy has ever hiked a day in his life, or ever took his sons fishing or camping when they were young? Land to him isn't worth protecting if he can make money off of it somehow, whether it's drilling for oil, or to put in Trump hotels, country clubs, and golf resorts.
