[Marvel Movie] Avengers 6: Secret Wars

So after this they will start to make normal movies again with plots that matter and just have 1 verse, 1 version of a character etc? Doubtful.

 

Of course not, they've been way too successful with building this entire multiverse to go through such a hard reset. I would say right around this phase is their official reset, so after Thunderbolts and F4 they will be just fine.

Everyone will be OFFICIALLY convinced that Marvel has "bounced back".

After we conclude this saga, we will get the X-Menverse.

 

exactly. It feels like a chore now trying to make Sense of all the storylines/variants etc. I get reshoots and Covid, but damn. Ive been having to pause and google watching most of the shows lol i did really enjoy Shang Chi though.

Thats why the infinity war saga was so great to me. 10 years of building and it felt like the stakes were actually high.

 

Dr. Strange is my favorite character in the MCU, but I feel nothing for the MCU atp

I’m so far behind now and don’t have the motivation to catch up…I’ve basically not seen anything since the latest Ant-Man movie and skipped every D+ show since I think Moon Knight

if these upcoming Avengers movie require watching a bunch of mid movies and D+ shows to know what’s going on, I think I’m good fam…maybe my feelings will change in the future

 

I’ve tried watching a few movies, including Ant Man Quantumania, Marvels & Deadpool vs Wolverine, was excited for Dr. Strange - as I also love him - and sat through that nightmare. Most of those movies I watched 15-20 minutes max and had to switch them off. Shang Chi was the only gem for me movie wise and Moon Knight series wise. Only watched Loki to be fair aside from this, but that didn’t do much for me either. This whole saga / phase is utter crap, forcing way too many characters and plotlines into every single product they put out.

I’m with you Reeko, definitely not up to go through all these shitty movies and series just to understand the Avengers movies. I am not into these type of movies in general, like comic book / super hero ****, but at least I enjoyed the Ironman movies, first Dr. Strange and a couple of others, including Endgame. They were quality products. This phase is just too much and it’s just generic, over the top and poorly done.

 

You really enjoyed Iron Man 2 & 3? I don't remember watching either in theatres because of the crappy expectations I had for both. Luckily for that first phase GotG came in and Cap 2: Winter Solider came into rescue that initial phase... outside of the Avengers movie of course.

I would say each phase of Marvel has had its triumphs with its ugly loses. I too enjoyed Shang Chi, but I also enjoyed WandaVision as well as Loki. You're also bleeding each phase into the other:

The biggest difference I could point to is that there is no official "team" left. Thor is just roaming space hanging with the gang (GotG) and rekindling old flings. Black Widow is dead, Hawkeye is retired, Hulk is busy getting busy, and Iron Man apparently is returning as Doom... with Cap being rebooted as Sam now. Like you said, they're all over the place and for good reason, because they are.

Once they build a significant core, which I feel will be done with F4 joining the MCU, they'll find a team to build off and solidify the verse from that point. As of now, you're right, they've been aimlessly filming and hoping to hit gold with whatever current team members they have floating about. That just won't cut it when you've built an entire universe, this large in size and magnitude.
