I simply said the Sengun centric offense does not work. Yet somehow you see this as an attack on Sengun. Be in your feelings I don’t care

Our problem is the system around a Sengun centric offense. No one wants to see him post up for an entire game. The rockets need to move off ball and have motion around it. No way he can score like that 48 minutes and it tires him out too quickly. It should only be used in spurts. Problem is what else do we have. We literally have no other offense in games like today when no one can shoot straight.

Jalen Green was an embarrassment defensively.

The team as a whole wasn't good, but he in particular was an absolute train wreck.

Look dude. Disregarding all your bullshi+ presumptive nonsense, I have written about this extensively as well as hundreds on here. Old news.

It does not work. Sengun centric offense simply does not work. I have advocated 2 paths either less Sengun or no Sengun. I am favoring the latter. I firmly believe in a prototypical center being defensive minded with a lob threat and preferably 3 pt shot. This is not Sengun. And if we have Sengun let’s not run everything through him. let’s clear him out on short corner area put us in a 1-4 set iso top key with green or amen or 2-3 iso on wing. Let’s use him to run downscreens and staggered screens to free up shooters. He can still play mid or low post or have a FT line iso but shouldn’t be the focus of the offense. Sabonis is used this way.

but again i do not think we will win a championship with him. Especially since he doesn’t stretch the floor. At least Sabonis can pick and pop. Shoot 3s etc. This aint it.

Sabonis just 3 years ago was a 23% three point shooter. You are assuming he never improves. If he doesn't improve of course we aren't winning. We ain't winning unless the whole team improves.

This iteration aint it. Haven’t seen anything that makes me think this is. Stretch 5 doesn’t mean just 3 pt shot. Sabonis been had a 15-18 ft jumper. Same with Jokic before they got better at 3. Sengun does not have anything beyond 10-12 ft this does not give me hope he will ever be a 3 pt shooter

I think there's only one dumb bi+ch in this conversation and that is the person who says "You can't put this loss on Jalen, he barely played." when Jalen played more than 32 minutes with the team worst -22, 4/13 fg, and 5 TO.

Dumbass is so mad because his favorite player is the 9th best player on the team.

Yeah I didn't learn anything, I can't wait for you to explain why Jalen's missed shots and turnovers are actually good. Go.

tell jalen to use his right hand to shield/cover when dribbling with his left. tell jalen to stop fuggin one-handed passes on the perimeter (looks lazy AF).

tell sengun to stop foul baiting and aimlessly run into the paint (he ain't even good at FTs!). tell sengun to be more decisive with his post moves (he's gotten worse since his first 2 years).

both sengun and jalen combined 9 TOs. SMH.

Can you actually provide any data that suggests the Rockets are better with Jalen and without Sengun on the court other than your eye test over the span of 4 years?

Listen, Sengun is not a superstar, and he will never be one. The Rockets are not going to win anything with Sengun as their best player. That being said, the Rockets can't even sniff play-in spot with Jalen as their best player, and there's a 4 years of data out there that confirms it. So what exactly is your point?

When Jalen is on the bench, the Rockets are a better team for damn 4 years. That was the case when Sengun was 7th option sitting in the bench and not "clogging the lanes", and it's still the case when Sengun is 1st option.

Jalen Green is not good at basketball. If you disagree, provide something that isn't your eye test.

Teams figured the young Rockets out and know that the Rockets jump on them in the 1st halves.
