    I agree. If that's all it takes assetwise, 1 Phx pick 1 Hou pick and salary, it's worth that gamble. KD is still incredibly good. It kinda hurts though that we didn't just do it this year or that we didn't roll over the Adams, Uncle Jeff and Tate contracts because it would've been so easy to match KD's money and still keep our point guard using Brooks and those expirings.

    You could have an active commissioner who nixes a trade for "basketball reasons."

    Kyrie’s injury makes the PHX picks less valuable as Dallas has every incentive to tank and try to draft high this year. There is talk of Davis not coming back next year either.

    Listen I hate the Mavepricks as much as anyone, but that whole "article" read like someone who just wanted an excuse to sh!it on their organization, which Clutch, understandably, loves to do. Very little with this Kyrie injury is relevant to the Rockets... but there is some schadenfreude to be had for Rockets fans.

    There are not many places left to go unless you mean Europe, Mexico City, or another city in Canada again.

    Seattle (#15-populated metro area), San Diego (#18), St. Louis (#23), Austin (#26), Pittsburgh (#27), Cincinnati (#30), Kansas City (#31), Columbus (#32), Nashville (#35) are all bigger MSAs than the several smallest NBA cities. I mean, Houstonians got to watch the Oilers' jackass owner take their team from a great football city and one of the largest cities in the country to a small market in Nashville, so anything can happen. There should probably be a very heavy burden to move teams to the point where it would have to be extremely clear that it needs to happen for them to pull it off. Right now I believe it's only a simple majority vote from the Board of Governors.

    Maybe this Dallas ownership group would have been more hesitant to absolutely tank their product if they knew the odds of getting approved to move from a huge area like DFW that packs the arena and provides strong TV ratings would be almost nil, as they should be.

    I sure don't. Dallas and their fans deserve it

    I mean do they, though? Im sure some of their fans are a-holes, but they’re passionate and loyal to their team.

    As a longtime Houston sports fan, it really sucks to be betrayed by your team due to ulterior motives. It reminds me of the darkest days of Les Alexander’s Louisville flirtations and Bud Adams with the Oilers. It’s pretty devastating, and no fan base deserves it.

    This will be quite a Reach, but will give it for Entertainment purposes since you brought up Vegas.

    Current Mavs --> Vegas
    Expansion team --> Dallas.

    Of course there are many things to accomplish to make it work, but it does give Dallas fans a chance to bond again with their local team rather than continue hating the current owners of the Dallas franchise.

    I appreciate that, @Rokman. The feedback is really helpful. And thank you too, @Deckard.
