I don’t know you or your posting history, but you’re the first one here to say this. I’m assuming you were of the mind that the Dems were so bad, Trump couldn’t possibly be worse, so let’s give Trump another try. I hate to actively root for presidential failure, especially when the consequences of that failure have and will hurt people across the country and around the world. But I am basically rooting for failure because it may be the only way people understand how utterly fraudulent and destructive Trump/Vance and the Republican Party are. Democrats screwed up plenty. Biden hung on too long. Biden couldn’t string together a sentence. He waited too long on immigration. Kamala and the Dems completely flopped on messaging. But more often than not, Dems are trying to do what’s better for most of the people. They don’t always get it right and screw up plenty. But Dems aren’t supporting Russia and actively engaging in vanity tariff wars. What we are seeing from Trump and Vance in just two months is literally insane. Sadly, it is exactly what they promised.

Trump thinks we are bringing manufacturing back to the US. This is ridiculous. American consumers don’t want to pay for American made products. Americans like to buy stuff cheap. People don’t want to pay more, they want to pay less. While there may always be be some manufacturing in America, the US has been transitioning to a service-oriented economy for many years. Trump wants to turn back the clock, but it’s just not possible. Americans are not willing to pay more for goods in order to create manufacturing jobs.

The debt isnt being lowered. They are raising it(and the debt ceiling) and to pay for it, they are cutting from medicaid, snap, and lmao...federal agencies(which really wont make a dent for what hes doing). So we are still adding to the deficit.
Good luck trying to sell your products internationally. If you think it will be expensive to buy American think about how all these new American manufacturers competing in the world markets outside the US.
