Yes but we were stylistically different. Wasn’t predominantly throw it to Sengun in the high post or high screen and roll. Reed and Jalen initiated the offense and made plays. Shooters were open. Had a lob threat. Much more spacing for driving lanes

 

I agree. We need more pick in roll actions when Sengun gets back...lately, Sengun been missing easy shots around the basket and free throws...let's get him the ball in different areas to switch things up.
Also, let's keep Cam and Reed in the rotation moving forward! J. Tate and Holiday need to stay with the 3rd unit...its OKC and Lakers to win the West this year. We need to get more minutes to the young guns.

 

Overall I just wanna say I hope we waive Holiday and try another FA point guard to run the third string offense.

 

thats just unwarranted hate since he’s not the reason this team lost 6 in a row or .500 since. He played very well in Several of those games especially the MIN game giving defensive energy and timely shooting. Shot well last night despite the TO’s.

 

Anyone else notice, we played the last 7 minutes with five players who played on the Vipers, this year.

Cam, Reed, Nate, Dante, McVeigh

 

I think we should give Dante another chance. Much better defender and lob finisher than Landale.

 

Udoka gave up on the game mid 3rd. I would have subbed Jalen back in the game when the Viper squad got it down to 6.

 

Might as well see what we have. I really like his strength and motor. Unlike most, I prefer Landale to Adams, but think Dante may be better for the rest of this year. I think we punted on this year at the deadline and we should spend the rest of the season figuring out rotations for next year. FVV and Dillon are obviously 2 of our best players, but they are on their way out.

I don't know whether or not Reed Sheppard is ever going to be the guy (he was really good last night though) but I'm 100% certain Holiday is not what we need off the bench. His basketball IQ is far too low to let him bring up the ball for this offense.

 

I was pissed when they re-signed him. He is an absolutely horrible defensive player and is a black hole on offense. I’m not sure Reed is much better but we might as well see what we got. We are going to get blown completely out of the water in the playoffs. I just hope we don’t play the Warriors right off the bat, because I will be sick to my stomach.

 

Same reasoning for starting Bruno Fernando over Sengun.

 

I hope we can get things turned around and get into a good groove as we come up on this easiest stretch of the season, so I'm not ready to throw in the towel on the playoffs before we even get there. A first round bounce is definitely a real possibility at this point though.

I don't understand why we couldn't have used our MLE to outbid the Suns on Tyus Jones if we wanted to bring in another 6'0" guard. I know Phoenix fans are unhappy with his defense too, but at least that dude can actually play point guard. And he's a better shooter than Holiday too.

 

IMHO I think any minutes that Holiday plays are wasted when you could develop Reed, Cam or some G-league player. He serves no purpose. At least Jeff Green is a know locker room glue guy
