I respect his defensive strategy so much and the fearlessness he instills for the team but his rotations piss me off. More than van gundy’s or Adelman’s ever did. not going to even mention D’antoni or McHale, nor the offensive coaching staff here.

Now Reed needs to come in tomorrow with that same kind of energy. Since the defense will lack a bit be ready to shoot the dam ball.

if he can show out against a defensive team like the thunder, why the hell can't he do it against doo doo teams?

He looked like Jalen Green tonight ..... 3rd year Jalen who took a tad less shots.

It'll be interesting to see if Ime gives him the start (assuming FVV is out again). He definitely earned it tonight. Just don't have him defend the opponent's best guard, FFS

Then they shouldve traded back and taken Knecht or I dont know...traded for a spot up shooter at the deadline.

Or...actually let him play more than 4 mins at a time to acclimate to playing a way that hes not used to.

Or send him to the gleague and tell him to be a spot up shooter down there too so he can get used to it. If thats what they want him to do why did the gleague team let him be a primary ball handler and initiate offense all game long?

Why did they have him running pg in Summer league? And not spot up shooting?

They want him to play pg in every other situation but when hes with a healthy rockets team they want him to spot up shoot? How is a young player supposed to have success with that kind of inconsistency?

Our PG of the future! It is amazing how he looks, like some of us predicted, when he isn't looking over his shoulder scared he is going to be yanked for any mistakes. Like I said before, some of you guys are going to look back on this thread and be really embarrassed by what you posted in a few years.

I cannot stand this only fans type of attitude with people like this. People should be able to give their opinion of a player without only fans acting a whiny little B about it.

If you are a TRUE Rockets fan and you have skepticism about Reed as the #3 pick you should feel you have the ability to say so AND also root to be wrong. You guys have lost any semblance of being anything other than a pure partisan with a zero sum mindset on fcking everything. Everything is this whiny I’m right your wrong to the grave attitude. Annoying and so over it.

I’m rooting for Reed because I’m a rockets fan and want him and the team to do well…. and I also have major concerns about his size in the NBA and natural ability to play the PG role which I think he’ll have to play if he wants to be a starter.

It’s not the personal battle you think I’m picking and no I don’t want to be right anyways if the outcomes are bad for my team. You guys would rather watch the world burn than be wrong about a hot take on the internet. It’s not healthy.

You should really look back through this thread at some of the things people said about him. I wouldn't call some of those things "opinions".

Reed looked really good, but he needs to show it for more than just one game. I'd like to see him start again tonight and see if he can repeat it. The minutes would do him good.

There is absolutely no reason he should not get Holiday’s minutes the rest of the year. The difference between 10-15 minutes of Reed and 10-15 minutes of Holiday is not going to materially affect our chances of winning. When we did nothing at the deadline, we were punting on this season. Developing Amen, Reed, and Cam should be a priority.

This is such a weird statement.

A lot of low BBIQ posters said a lot of really dumb **** like that a PG sized PG can't make it as a PG or that a prospect with nearly flawless shooting mechanics has bad shooting mechanics.

These types deserve a bit of ridicule for their ridiculous hot takes, and it's not cause to throw a tantrum.

No chance he starts vs Indiana. If Fred is out, Ime will start Alpi, Dillon, Amen, and Jalen. The only question is if Tari or Jabari start at the 4.

But he absolutely should be the first PG off the bench.

Honestly, If Amen and Jalen are both playing I'd rather Reed not start. If Sengun and Dillon are also playing, then it's a wrap. He'd be shoved so far in a corner somewhere you would think he's some cosplaying kid with courtside seats.

If all those guys are playing just bring him off the bench and let him get more ball handling opportunities.

Isn't an "opinion" an "opinion"? I'm not following. Reed seems like a nice kid. I don't see people here having personal vendettas against the guy. If people think he's a not-so-great NBA prospect to draft in the top 3 I think that's the definition of an "opinion."

Maybe.. just maybe... the onlyfans people are just a little too sensitive, and take things too personally. Of course I could be wrong, and there are people here who are personally offended by Reed's presence. If you have examples please feel free to share.
